Not true... My oldest tattoo is about 8 years old and looks as sharp as the day I got it. In fact, of the three I have, I'd bet you couldn't tell me in what order I got them.

same as mine. but, my bro got a cool looking celtic knot design that was very intricate and artistic. 10 years later it is pretty much a black blob on his arm, and resembles a silhouette of womens panties. he is getting it covered this year.

your stuck with it so you have to keep rationalizing that it doesn't look like a permanent record of a lapse in judgement.

You're reading me totally wrong. I'm just saying that the people who tend to get tattoos also tend to have different personalities from me. I am friends with some people who have tattoos, but they aren't usually very close friends. They are just different people from me, often with totally different interests. I'm not judging them, I'm just speaking from personal experience.

I don't think less of anyone for having a tattoo. But go ahead, continue to judge me unfairly.

I could be, and rereading your post it doesnt seem as hard as I originally thought. But really, prejudging people based on the presence of a tatoo,is so 1950

Nope... No lapse in judgement. Once? Maybe. Three... That's a conscious choice. There will be more.

Oh... and I know how to spell. Ass...

you included. my statement was correct.

i don't think you know who you are judging in this case though.

I'm not judging anybody. I'm making a comment on reckless and foolish behavior. If someone want's a permanent record of their foolishness for the world to see then go ahead.

I dunno, I'd sorta enjoy tattoo on my partner. :hmm:

lol, you ARE judging him. nothing worse than denying the obvious.

here's something more for you to hate on. the poster you are judging is a handsome guy and his tattoos are sexy. he's no fool.

I think I'm going to make a permanent record of your spelling skillz.
I guess we're all judgemental about different things, eh?

Oh... what is reckless and/or foolish about a tattoo?

Not a fan of tattoos at all. A bunch of my friends have them, and I think it was a stupid decision on their part. Some of them look really cool, but I doubt they will in 40 years.

As much as I've understood some of the good reasons people got them, I've never agreed with any of them either (as in I would get a tattoo for the same reason).

I'm a fan. My girlfriend and I both have quite a few. I've got almost a full sleeve, as well as some on other parts of my body. And my girlfriend has just about a full sleeve as well, as well as a big colorful piece on her chest.

Give it a few years. I can only imagine how some folks who are heavily tatted will look when they hit 65...

I've been in many tattoo parlors over the decades...drunk and sober...and never could find anything that I wanted to have inked on permanently.
Different strokes for different folks.

silly Boomer. that's overdoing it. not talking about covering your body in tattoos.

i guess reading is not your forte?

i have stated at least twice now that i don't like over inking. a few tattoos is fine. tasteful, classy, and not on the face/neck region. maybe back of the neck, like this, but not much more.

Years ago, Tattoos used to be a way of standing apart from the crowd, now they've become away to fit in with the crowd. Monkey see, monkey do. Same thing with the piercings people are doing... Monkey see monkey do. Zero originality. Just people trying to fit in and look cool.

I have them .. left arm is sleeved and runs across my chest. couple on my right arm. it doesn't bother me if someone has them or doesn't have them. my wife has none.

there's still a lot of originality as long as you aren't paying 50.00 for some flash tattoos that get reused over and over. mine are all one of a kind.

Mosh, if it was you in that post of yours. I would gladly reconsider tattoos and would engrave themselves with all of them.

:awe:
