While the processor is slow what kind of speed can you pull data off that HD?
Also what kind of HD space are we talking about here.
More than enough speed to pull off the 33mbps required to mount a DVD over Daemon Tools and stream it realtime (Actually, you only need just a bit more than 10mbps for that). It runs NT4 at the moment - I'll be putting 2k on as soon as I can find my extra 256mb DIMM.
At the moment, it's got about 80gb between a 3 drives - the biggest being 60 gigs and the other two being for utility uses
I think I speak for everyone here when I say.

can you manually format a harddrive and install windows for workgroups (3.11) then manually configure the tcp/ip to the shared network, internet ect.. you probably dont have a clue if it isnt a plug and play os do you.. remember the comp is not just plug in a cdrom drive into a ide port and go.. the ide is on the sound card which is connected to a risor card which is then connected to the motherboard.. that means that their is no floppy boot disc that has drivers to recognize the cdrom drive..
o and by the way my real job is lead tech for a major telecom company .. and the technology i am an expert in is asychronic transfer mode .. (atm) and no that has nothing to do with bank machines like you are thinking..
