Sorry dude, but I call bigtime shens. The SE starts off at 190 hp and a turbo sure as hell ain't gonna add no 260 hp. Not even with every mod possible.

 My engine puts down 400+ hp and it started at 135hp.

That's fine. I have no idea what kind of car you have but there is nothing that you can do to the Maxima's base engine to get that. Now if you dropped something else in there, maybe, but then is it really a Maxima anymore?

Intake bigger turbo, cams, headers, timing belt, lowered, potenza tires (very sticky!),blow off valve. cant remember anything else.
all i can say is its darn fast, i can take a 90 degree turn at like 75 without slowing
Shens. Gonna need to see a full mod list and a time slip.
Screw the time slip...I need to see anyone take a 90° turn at 75 without slowing...

True, and if you still have the '2000 you pwn him in the twisties.

Woah...there's a screen name that's a blast from the past ;)

But they are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ cars, and hardly comparable. Now invest 10k in a turbo etc. in a Hayabusa or your bike, and you now own them.

Didn't someone on this forums have an RX-7 FD3S Twin Turbo? Those things put out 375BHP, stock.

Oh, and Subaru WRX=Teh ultra-sex. I'd trade a Mazda for one any day.

Wow, so much friggin BS in this thread... I've gone Vette hunting in my car, raped mild modded STis and Evos at low boost settings.

According to my datalogger from airflow, I'm putting out around 380bhp at 18-19psi of boost at ~6850rpm. I need to do more tuning, definitely need to do more pulls since I'm running pig rich at 10:1 AFR and timing is not ideal with no knock. I've seen similar cars run 12s but with more tuning and better fuel control (AFPR & fuel rail) I think I can make that mid/lo 12s. Car is at full weight and I did some pulls at around 24psi... OMFGFast. Car isn't going to the track until I can afford a new clutch.

I'm so dying to get rid of my crap suspension since I'm all ordered up for my minor brake upgrade/fix. Car is slammed, I miss my previous car's suspension. That car wasn't a complete slouch either but nowhere as fast (Eclipse GS-T ran low 14s)

Current car is 98 Talon TSi AWD with a built 6bolt 9:1 compression motor with an Evo3 B16G (ported and clipped w/ external WG) and of course DSMLink and fuel and FMIC etc.

BTW, FD3S RX7s do not put down 375bhp stock. They are ~255bhp from factory and have a wonderful tendency to grenade themselves every ~40k. One of my coworkers owned one and got rid of it for that reason. It was lightly modded to around 300ish bhp, pretty freaking fast but he's a very VERY big man... he barely fit in the car!

Holy crap... Rallispec! I haven't seen you post in a while, got a Legacy GT? Nice!

Now it's not that I doubt you, however, these mods take a hell of a lot of money to do and you first state that you need to do your clutch and second you state that you need to do a suspension. How come you have no money for these things? Pics of your car?

I did 15.7@88 w/ the stock tires and learning how to drive a clutch. I'd estimate that I can do 15.4-15.5@90 now that I'm better at it.

Quick or FAST?

Quick is doing a respectable 1/8 or 1/4 mile.

Fast is topping out at 160-200+ on the "funway" (errr Autobahn ;) )

My car can out accelerate a top fuel car (over the course of 100 miles)
It can out top end a McLaren F1 (on a road with 6" deep ruts)
And it can out corner an Enzo (when a 5000LB trailer is attached)

:D

That's not terribly uncommon. I've met a lot of young car-modders who have dumped so much of their incomes into their cars that they can't afford to buy lunch. Seriously. It's a running joke among car nuts that a kid with a heavily modded STi usually eats cheap frozen pizza every night.

I spent all my cash on engine and exhaust on my stang way before I did the minor things like clutch and suspension also..
its all priorities...

My 1993 Notchback when it was under contruction had.. 347 Crawford stroker kit.. Cobra Intake (extrude honed) Pro M 80MM mass Air Vortech S trim Supercharger Vortech T rex fuel pump 40# injectors TFS Twisted Wedge heads and Roller rockers... E303 Cam..

all that and i never did the suspension till much later its all about priorities =)

My mistake. RX7 Twin Turbo R type put out 350. Modded, 375-400.

You fvckers with your Rear-drive domestics....Just wait for the supercharged RX7 next year...

And that's part of owning a Rotary...maintenance. They're designed for hard driving in the hands of people who know how to take care of them.

And wait, and wait, and wait, and wait...Because I'll bet we aren't going to see it next year. If we do, what's it going to be rated at 350hp, 400hp?? Of course, that is Mazda rated horsepower so 350 would be more like 260 to the wheels (RX8 anyone? ). Yeah, I'm sure all the Z06 (RWD domestic) owners will be quaking in their shoes.
