This is how you can tell the difference beteeen conservatives and liberals. Conservatives would not shut down the NY times (refused McCain op-ed after taking BO's) and MSNBC if they won. They are committed to free speech principal. Liberals on the other hand go into ego frenzy if you don't agree with them. Fox News, talk radio - they want to shut it down or out. Democrat party and its radical core has become quite dysfunctional on the basics. They would suspend elections if the could and make it sound good for the country. The again with ACORN they dont need to suspend them.

So true. That's why 2012 is a lock for Obama. Obama, Reid and Pelosi will send some big dollars their way to give America another Blue Tide in four years.

Is that in addition to the million-plus layoffs we've had this year?

Okay now be honest, who here would have liked to be a fly on the wall watching Butterbean as he saw the election returns come in? I know I would have. That must have been an explosion of crazy for the record books.

Not sure, but lets tax or threaten to tax the company's some more... because, obviously, killing them would only cause more employment ;-)

IMHO, after Obama got hired, the news have gotten worse.. above the sound of cnn, msnbc, abc, etc.. cock sucking Obama's dick, if people paid attention, the stock market haven't really been that great -- one of the reasons is that investors haven't really had anything to cheer about; investors could care less that Obama is getting a BJ.. Nothing so far from Obama has inspired confidence in them -- from the time Obama was a senator to actually being elected.

You're one of a kind, Ralph. Good job. Thank God somebody in this country still owns a pair.
Wow, I read that totally differently. Actually Nader sounded like a fvcking loon and was treated as such per the resultant comment "are you kidding me??" by the interviewer. Mr. anti-corporate crusader leading the charge against a cold cruel world ra ra ra. What bullsh!t. No wonder he never made any real money and still goes around in the same $150 suits from 15 years ago. "Don't go away quietly...just, just go away."

Sorry Butterbean, your hypothesis just does not stand the sniff test. It was Nixon who tried to suppress the publication of the Pentagon papers, it was GWB who cheery picked intel to sell the Iraq war, and then outed the wife of the critic who happened to be a CIA agent. And then pardoned one of the criminals conspiring to do it.

While the democrats are not perfect either, putting white hats on the GOP just does not fit the facts.

But my comment about shutting down the fox network is based on existing FCC regulations, and its the same criteria all networks have to meet. While none of them are perfect, by far, Fox is, by a wide margin, a large violators of the public trust . A private newspaper on the other hand, does not use the public airwaves, and is thus more protected under free speech rights.

There are plenty of bi partisan rules protecting against partisan bias at the FCC, but fox and everyone else must periodically demonstrate they fairly serve the public interest in a non biased way. And I predict a flood of complaints to be filed against fox, and fox's past record may not meet the non bias tests. Nor would a networks with a corresponding liberal bias. Ultimately, a court may have to decide,
and with a good chance such a court may have a republican appointed justice, the
democratic bias argument may become moot.

Fairness never is and never will be a democratic or republican monopoly.

Yes, people getting laid off.. Out of everything, i wrote in the previous message.. Including how I felt that more lay offs were coming, why did you only focus on Obama and his ever admiring media horde? There is more to politics than just gloating that your "pick" won...

may you have none of your family and friends get laid off due to the bad economics policy of your messiah... but I doubt it.... stop drinking the koolaid and think...

Fox News Channel does have some responsible journalists, but when the network greenlights stuff like the one-hour Sean Hannity hit piece called "Obama & Friends - A History Of Radicalism" they would have to be stupid not to expect to get the cold shoulder.

And let's face it, is Obama risking a loss of support by doing so? No. The people who watch FNC religiously were never and will never vote for him anyway.

I suspect after one or two snubs he will stop ignoring them, though, so it's not going to be a huge issue in the future.

For example, how did Obama answer when asked if he was sticking to his plan to raises the upper end taxes to cut it for the lower end/deliver those checks? He didnt. He sputtered around it, avoided it completely, and spoke about things that clearly indicate he has no intention of living up to that promise. "We will look into it"
He also cleared up how he lied about his denial of the meeting with the Canadians, and further tried to cover up his Rezko relationship.

Overall, the press conference only reminded me of why I didnt vote for him. He is a smooth talker that used the economy to feed off America's current desire to get a check. He has not done a single thing that makes me TRUST him.

Wait, so we are back to this again? She wasnt calling it a terrorist fist jab, she was stating the different names people had given that hand gesture. One of which happened to be someone calling it some sort of "terrorist secret hand shake". That is what she was referring to and she has already tried to explain that many times. Oh well.

The right wing's "Messiah" meme is not based on any genuine description of how Obama is perceived by the left, but is a coded appeal to the prevalent and quite genuine belief among many religious righties that Obama is literally the Antichrist. His supporters don't sincerely think Obama is a Messiah. There are thousands (if not millions) of people who sincerely believe he is literally, no kidding, the Beast of Revelation.

I have heard this allegation discussed seriously and without ridicule on mainstream conservative radio, and while most of the big name talkers won't publicly and officially cosign the idea, they're careful not to dismiss it or mock it either. The Hannitys of the world don't want to completely marginalize themselves from the mainstream by explicitly endorsing pure, uncut bullshit, but they don't want to discourage the idea either, and they surreptitiously encourage it by trying to hammer words like "Messiah" and "Chosen One." They want to reinforce the completely fabricated notion that Barack Obama is displaying some kind of unnatural arrogance - that his popularity should be seen as disturbing and scary - that he is not just politically wrong, but deeply evil - and not just humanly evil but supernaturally evil.

The literal demonization of Barack Obama is overt and unashamed on the internet. On the radio, it's more covert and circumspect, but it's there. I don't know if their intentions are purely political or whether they have darker motivations, but we already know that threats against Obama spiked when McCain/Palin was at its most inflammatory, and it would surprise me a bit if some nutburger tried to take a run at Obama thinking he was the son of Satan. I also think that the increasing lack of responsibility on right wing radio and the increasingly hyperbolic villification of Barack Obama could easily be contributing factors. These guys know they're yelling fire.

So you're going to take MSNBC's word for it? I bet if you get that whole transcript of the actual news bit, it would clearly show Fox News not calling Obama a terrorist.

But, what do you care? All you're interested in is a couple seconds sound byte taken out of context for a cheap laugh.

Grow up.

After watching the Atwater special last night it's hard to argue with your points. The GOP knows damn well what it's doing, nearly everything they do and say has a deeper meaning and motive behind it. They can't be openly racist anymore, so they hide their intent in code words intended to provoke the emotions they want out of their target audience. The strange thing is Conservatives LOVE this shit, they LOVE demoralizing their enemies and stripping them of their humanity. They secretly revel in it. The Democrats can't use these same tactics to their base....most of us get turned off by that kind of politics. It's not in our nature to enjoy watching others de-humanized in the national spotlight. This is why I've always believed the liberal/conservative thing has more to do with the innate personality traits of a person than where they stand on the issues.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Obama is assassinated by GOP operatives. I honestly will not be surprised in the least. In fact I expect there to be multiple attempts made on his life.

What are you a retard? She was clearly giving it air time for a reason. "terrorist secret handshake" lol. It's like when I was in 6th grade and said some totally stupid shit and came back with the most off the wall reasoning as to why. Corbett i hope thats your wife because I see no other reason to try and defend that shit.
