let's see...

5x 30GB = 150GB
3x 120GB = 360GB
5x 80GB = 400GB
2x 90GB = 180GB

1090GB of SSD storage purchased.

Unfortunately, I may be disqualified.

I gave away a 30GB, and sold a 90GB.

But then again, I have a additional (dead, should be RMA'able) Mushkin 240GB.

So, do I qualify for the club?

nope, because it's not a single 1TB SSD :p

ssd prices have fallen, and I'm itching to upgrade my current 96GB Kingston V+100 SSD to something bigger(>200GB), especially since android sources and other source code take up a lot of space

... but $0.5-1/GB * 500GB is still too expensive for my tastes

I've got more than a TB spread across all my machines.

840 Pro - 512GB, 128GB
840 - 250GB, 120GB
X25-M - 160GB
Crucial C300 - 64GB

I'm itching to upgrade my main system to be 100% SSD. It's a very quiet system and I'm sick of listening to my "noisy" Samsung F4. May jump on a 1TB EVO or M500 on Black Friday if I come across a tempting enough deal.

Psh none of this crap counts. Having 8 128GB drives does not mean you are in the 1TB SSD club.

Having one or more 1TB SSD *drives* gets you in the club.

so basically, very very few of you are actually in the 1TB SSD club not even the OP.

After reading back, hell hammer is the only one here who counts. The rest of you are 960GB posers or worse yet, weirdos who add up 256GB and 128GB drives to get obtuse amounts of "SSD" storage, half of which are in Raid0 and therefore are actually half their stated capacity.

That should tell you something about the true price of going 1TB SSD. it's very very expensive.

Buying a evo Samsung SSD as we speak.. Open up the club Filezz is now a member bitches..

Each of my corsair gt 256gb drives at the time I bought them were $600 each.
$600 for a 1tb is a steal in my eyes.

I mean the way I see it I just bought a 512GB 15" retina Macbook pro and the fact that I have a 512GB macbook air doesn't mean I'm in the club.

If i had payed the extra $500 for the 1TB SSD option I would be in the club.

as is i'm getting 715MB/s write and 735MB/s read and am pretty happy. I just didn't feel comfortable paying $3700 (with taxes) for a laptop

edit: there's no reason for a club if it's not exclusive. Might as well just call it the guys with hard drives club.

LOL

I like the exclusivity of this new club. (ordered my Samsung evo 1tb drive amazon prime overnight) Not only am I am member. I now would like to run as president of the club.

Eh, I'll join when 1tb drops to about $250~ :3 but by then you guys'll be forming the 2tb club, or maybe the 4tb club lol. You will forever be in a higher class than I.

Toshiba Q-Series 128GB & two Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB in RAID-0 with 128Kb striping. Thing flies.

Reminder guys with configs like this, move that pagefile and temp folder off (and I personally change the location of the Downloads folder), disable hibernation and auto defrag of the SSD and perhaps Superfetch.

don't be upset because you wrote a thread talking about 1TB SSD aka solid state drive and not SSDs but actually don't own a 1TB SSD

Next time talk about solid state drives (plural) and you can be in the club too!

Uh...Pretty sure I have not one but two 1TB SSDs in here. I'm also thinking you are confusing RAID 0 with RAID 1.

I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about people who have 2 256GB drives and a 512GB and yes I was talking about Raid 1 (parity vs 0 is striped)

Obviously if you have even 1x 1TB SSD, you are in the club.

512GB SSD in main rig. 64GB caching drive.
256GB SSD in laptop and HTPC. 80GB caching drive in HTPC salvaged from laptop.
80GB in older laptop.

1248GB total. I'm in the club, do I get a jacket or something?

Well, as I stated you don't own any drives that are 1TB. So when you go out and buy a 1TB SSD, you will find out whether or not you get a jacket.

I have never needed more than 500gb HDD's in my life so far. I have never even filled any HDD past 300 GB for that matter.
