It has mayo + it has no cheese = me not eating it

*edit*
That being said- I've been known to order it w/ no mayo, add cheese....mmmm

nope.

but i just realized a sourdough ultimate cheeseburger fits roughly within my diet.

Too fancy...but you get points for trying to make it sound menu-worthy.

Ex. "green leaf lettuce" - as opposed to what? 'orange leaf'....?
Ex. "fresh cracked pepper"....ok gourmet, we all have pepper grinders...they sell them at Big Lots these days.

Cut pork belly? Why don't you use BACON in your BLT? Or just call it a CPBLT instead?

Edit...just read about the Tomato...make that a CPBL. I agree... 😛 FAIL!

green leaf lettuce is a type of lettuce. it's an open head type, as opposed to a closed head type like iceberg.

BLT's are no good, fuck tomatoes they don't have any business being around delicious Bacon. Almost as wrong as putting Beans in Chili.
now a BLC (Bacon Lettuce & Cheese) I can go for one of those 🙂

no towmater, no BLT. I personally think they're ok but I Would much prefer a breaded pork tenderloin with lettuce, onion, tomato, swiss and cheddar cheese.

as others have mentioned, green leaf lettuce is a specific kind of lettuce.

yes, i ground pepper onto the bacon... I dont care that they sell them at big lots. its 10x better than stale pepper from a shaker

I mention cut pork belly, because thats how it was labeled. I bought it at a farmers market from a local farm. All natural fed, roams around instead of boxed in a cage. I know bacon is pork belly, but wanted to stress the freshness and wholesomeness. This wasn't oscar meijer bacon.

Tomatoes..... yeah, I know i fail on this one, just not a fan of them on my BLs. Everyone can say "fail" all they want. But I'm not adding something that I don't want on my sandwich. Too much juice from the tomatoes, usually makes the bread a bit soggy.

BLTs are freakin awesome but I haven't had one in a while. Come to think of it, I do have the ingredients at the apartment so maybe I will today.

Toasted tomato sandwiches are also really good: Toasted bread, mayo, tomato slices, salt + pepper.

You have got me craving, I have 2 packages of Bacon in my fridge and I'm going to go get the rest of the ingredients and eat this for dinner tonight, YUM!

Damnit, I might have to make myself a couple now! All this talk of food....

Yes, one of the better classics out there IMHO.

I like a nice wheat bread, light mayo, properly washed and chilled romaine lettuce, and home grown tomatoes if I have them. If I don't, I try to grab some good beefsteak tomatoes, organic if possible. I buy my bacon by the slab and cut it myself, but recently discovered wild boar bacon. Holy crap, you guys have to try it! The quantity I procured was used entirely on two batches of BLTs and they were friggin orgasmic.

First off I have to agree with the others, no tomato ni a BLT is epic failure.

Anyway, I made one the other day like my Grandma used to make. Fry your bacon in a cast-iron skillet, remove the bacon, but leave the pan on the flame, then take your lightly-toasted bread from the toaster and put it face down, right into the bacon grease and fry it for a few seconds.

Then add mayo, bacon, tomato, black pepper, lettuce.

That little bit of frying the bread makes a world of difference. So freaking good.

Don't like tomato, and really don't like lettuce on sandwiches (really only thing I like is caesar salad). Thus a bacon sandwich, which I will not complain about.

Damn, I'll have to try that. My mouth is just about watering already. 😀
