Who doesn't drink?

It seems like most people who don't drink have some reason for it: problems in the past, religious convictions, etc.
I don't drink, but I don't do it for any particular reason. It's liek collecting stamps or something. I have no particular aversion to collecting stamps, it jsut doesn't interest me, so I don't do it. Same with drinking.
Anyway, I just wanted to see how many people don't drink, for whatever reason.

I drink, because after having enough, there are many more women to choose from. 😀

I drink socially because: it tastes good, it's relaxing, and because I'm trying to drown my past.

I don't drink, because my family has an alcoholic history. I don't really see benefits for it. Yes i've had some before, it just isnt anything special. And this choice is really hard since im at college... all the pressure from everyone eventually starts to get to you. So thats why i dont drink.

I'm just not interested in drinking. It's probably better that way though, since alot of my dad's relatives have been alcoholics.

i drink probably once a month, if at all. I dont see a problem with it though...but as soon as you go try to drive after youve been drinking, thats where my problem really starts. My grandparents were killed by a drunk driver, i prefer not to see that happen to anyone else.

I don't drink for several reasons: a)family history b)don't really like the taste and c) I am plenty capable of making a perfectly good idiot out of myself without having to be drunk, thank you 😛

Nate

I don't drink because of religious convictions. It's fairly easy to keep that though because I've seen what it does to people. I don't like seeing my friends drunk. They're not the same. Anything that messes with how I want to live my life and screws with my ability to control my life is not something I want to mess with.

I recently quit drinking. I found it too costly ... so I usually keep something in the house for guests only and the occasional toast and whatnot.

Well I think there's a difference between alot of history and a little history. But you pays yer money and you takes yer chances or something.

Same here, my father and almost all his brothers are alcoholics. I've always been afraid to even take a sip of beer. It's hard being a young guy who doesn't drink. Sux having to explain why I don't drink, always the odd man out, no beer runs for me. 🙁

ever or often? because i usually don't drink but if my parents have some wine on hand, sure i'll take a few sips. but this is like once every few months....

Good point.

i drink 4-6 beer once every week or two. For a while it was much higher but I'm losing interest at the moment. The less I drink the less I need to get hungover in the morning. A week back I had 4 beer and the next morning could feel it (I weigh 180 and ate like a pig the night before) and I wake up thinking "What the hell is the point?". I love beer and rum and all that but it's just becoming less compatible with myself and my lifestyle of eating healthy.

i drink very rarely. i only would drink at a party, to get drunk. But lately i've realised that if there are other sober people at parties, it can be just as fun to hang with them, so in the future i probably won't bother.

another reason is that i don't like just kissing random girls that i wouldn't really go near if sober [i'm in high school btw]. Just randomly kissing any girl makes it kind of unchallenging and not special.
