Who can best me in typing speed?

I've only tried this particular typing test a couple of times but so far my best is 113 (well actually I got 116 earlier but 113 is the best I'm doing now that I am deliberately setting out to take a screenshot for this thread) you can choose multiple stories to type, and I got this score on Wizard of Oz fyi.

EDIT: Update, now I've gotten 132 wpm

Edit2: 69 words.

Baseball essay on first one, wizard, then baseball again.

81, could probably hit 90 on my regular keyboard. Would never hit 113 on my best day, that's impressive.

I just setup of voice share and I didn't do any of the tutorials and it actually works under OK but at the same time it doesn't. Native mega media mega media

Those last five words I was trying to say capital and I G G E R

I got 53 with WOOz (56 w/3 errors.) I don't normally type copy, I type off the top of my head.

I actually joke with people that typing and cooking were the only two classes I took in high school that gave me a skill set I use every day...

In her heyday, my mom used to type over 125WPM on a regular IBM typewriter, back in the days of no computer 'backspace' button... you had to be right or dig out the White Out.

50wpm on my Transformer tablet with keyboard dock. Not bad I guess, I'm not a very fast typist on a regular kb anyway.

Haha, he was joking 🙂 you can see the obvious edits in his picture. I was actually quite amused.

I don't think anyone's going to beat 113 unless a pro secretary is on here, that's very high.

Thanks, if that was a compliment. I bet someone will beat me though. I'd be surprised if someone didn't. When that happens, I will go back and attempt again, to outdo whatever they get. I've done that site's test since yesterday when I found it maybe about 10 times now, the lowest I got was a 91, all other attempts above 100.

This is the result of Jr. High typing class, and then immediately after that downloading mIRC in 1994 to start debating people in chatrooms...

Anyone around 90-100+ is flying in typing terms. I know I hang around 70-80 and most people think I am on crack...lol

Damn. Flash. If it had been HTML5 I could have cheated like crazy! 😀

When I was younger I could (barely) break 100 on a good day, but I seem to go slower now that I'm older. I got 93 on Wizard of Oz. I probably can't do much better than that, and I really slow down when I have to add numbers and symbols...never learned to properly touch-type the top row.

Heh, some typing tests insist that you use single spaces between sentences, which really screws me up. Glad that this test is "smart" about that particular stylistic preference.

plus double-spacing between sentences is better.

never learned to properly touch-type the top row.

Same. That's the thing that can trip me up, numbers... I think in the typing class in Jr. High I just assumed "well they're in order... so I don't need to learn them that way" boy was I wrong.

I'm going to try again and see if I can beat my record...

Boom. Did it. The thing that keeps really throwing me off is that the Wizard of Oz one changes each time a bit... weird words are left out, etc... it's either a glitch, or them making it so you can't get the exact same thing over and over to boost your score.

But it's distracting because it makes the flow of the words wrong. It ruins the English.
