I just saw on the news that Sony has raised prices for her music on Itunes about 60%, FUCK YOU SONY.

Why do you hate the free market?

It's all about supply and demand...(even though with digital music, the supply doesn't actually diminish.)

Supply and demand

Happens for every musical star.

Holly/Valens
Elvis
Lennon
Jackson

etc.

Fire up the presses to supply the demand (and make a extra profit). Sooner/later the prices will fall back to previous levels

Thank god Sony and RIAA is there fighting for the artist, clearly the price hike was done in the artist's best interest right? I don't know how they can do something like that and then wonder why people hate them and why piracy is so rampant. They couldn't appear more vulture like if they tried.

As for WH I hated her music but she was undeniably talented and it is sad when someone with that kind of talent dies. RIP

Well, if her family is entitled to a portion of the proceeds, then they also benefit from free-market pricing.

I will write on a huge cement block 'BY ACCEPTING THIS BRICK THROUGH YOUR WINDOW, YOU ACCEPT IT AS IS AND AGREE TO MY DISCLAIMER OF ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS WELL AS DISCLAIMERS OF ALL LIABILITY, DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL, THAT MAY ARISE FROM THE INSTALLATION OF THIS BRICK INTO YOUR BUILDING.' And then hurl it through the window of a Sony officer and run like hell.

Local sports talk was playing her Super Bowl national anthem this morning. I had forgotten just how amazing it was!

Then they said it was lip synched and I had no idea. It's kind of like learning there is no Santa Claus. I'm just going to assume that every live performance at a sporting event/awards show is lip synched now.

I thought it was well known that she had recorded it in a studio beforehand and lip-synched the performance. It's still amazing singing, just that it was done in a studio instead of a stadium, alone in a booth with words in front of you. That way you don't have to worry about forgetting words.
