Whites-only Basketball League

The BET analogy is poor - BET is one of many channels catering to a certain demographic. These specialty channels (Golf TV, Lifetime, Logo) exist to make it simple for marketers to hawk their goods to a certain demo, not to exclude anyone. If BET were a cable SYSTEM, and every channel were black shows, and only black people can sign up, then you'd have a point.

Besides, we have WHITE TV - it's called CBS 😉

This wouldnt be an issue if it were an all black league. Why the hostility when its all white? Im trying not to troll, just see why its ok one way but not another

See, there was this thing in the past called "slavery". After slavery was abolished, there was this thing called "segregation".

You know who would fit quite nicely in this league?

"The Professor" and "White Chocolate"

Fundamentals be damned.

I thought that was NBC (No Blacks Channel).

To be fair, kudos to all network TV for integrating more minorities into their programming, my poke was a bad joke and not implying that say CBS is anti-integration....

Besides, has anyone actually watched BET lately? Sure, most of the programming is black heavy, but R&B stars such as Robin Thicke are white and are still heavily played. It's all about advertisers, and having a black (or gay, or golf) channel means they can target their advertising more effectively. It's not really meant to exclude anyone, though I do understand why it comes off as such.
