I got a chuckle out of the part in bold up there. Regular killing is just a normal part of life, "standard killing". Political and racial killing is the bad kind of killing, because it's done for the wrong reasons.
I'm sure it eases the minds of all the family's that lost loved one's to "standard" killings. Just knowing that it's a normal part of life brings them peace.

As far as "types of killings" we make those distinctions all the time. Gun suicides kill more people per year by far vs gun homicides but only the latter is discussed.

Crime under DiBlasio was actually lower than any time in recent history. Since Covid, crime has gone up, but it's still pretty much at the best levels when Bloomberg was mayor and everything was hunky dory and NYC was having a Renaissance. Misinformation is dangerous.

Every other first world developed country has far lower homicide rates. Even those who have similar crime rates such as those of property, have much lower homicide rates. Simple reasons, guns make bad situations worse easily and quickly.
It'll never change here because way too many people like you close their eyes and ears to simple facts.
