I hope you're right.

Meanwhile, as a 50 year old, this period is the most disturbing and dangerous (IMO) in my lifetime. I've seen post factualism reach criticality, batshit mainstreamed by a major political party and idiocracy come true.

But hey, maybe you're right. Maybe this can be stopped.
To continue my thoughts further, I think Trump will be a good thing for this country.

This is my optimistic side which rarely rears its head, but one can hope.

Trump has made people who were in the closet come out. People like candle86 or compuwiz1 feel empowered to speak out right now and, assuming they are also speaking out IRL, they are showing their friends, family, colleagues who they really are.

When the script changes and Bernie Sanders gets elected in 2020, when socialized Healthcare and real changes come to this country and more people are happy in life instead of just the rich white man, we'll remember how bad it can be if we allow hate to fill our hearts. We'll remember that candle86 is a racist and those hate mongers will now be out in the open.

Yeah I know, I am probably dreaming. I would even settle for a populist Democrat like corrupt Hillary at this point. Much less my dream of a country where it's OK to be a woman who likes women, without being judged or discriminated against. Or hell, might as well wish for the moon and ask for Ellen to run for president :) lol

Your damn right they are, they do not seek the better man kind but only black people, that alone makes them racist, they are also hostile to anyone that isn't Black, again that makes them racist. News flash Blacks are able to be racist and these days they tend to be more racist than white people.
Their goal is too see black people are treated equally by the criminal justice system. I'm sure people like you think that already happens despite evidence to the contrary.

Maybe you can wrap your brain around the fact Tamir Rice and John Crawford were carrying toy guns and BB guns in a state that allows open carry. White people called police of them and they were both killed within seconds upon arriving on the scene.

Only a racist would call blacks getting equal treatment oppression of whites.

show me a reliable news source please, not one run by the liberal media, hell Time named Hitler man of the year

They also named Trump as man of the year. go fucking figure.

lol--look at you not understanding a fucking thing, like a simple concept such as what "man of the year" actually means for Time. Maybe ask your 8 year old grandkid. With any luck, they've ten times the brains that you have.

Meaningless point is meaningless.

"The criterion is “the person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or ill, and embodied what was important about the year.” A lot of news is bad news and a lot of people who make bad news are very powerful people. TIME’s editors aren’t immune to that reality. Famously, they named Hitler in 1938 and Stalin in 1939 and again in 1942. These were men who had a huge impact, not just in those years but over the entire century. It’s easy to stand by those choices, looking back. Arguably you could do a bad guy every year and be justified."

EDIT: Are we all having fun yet?

Show one example where BLM sponsored/advocated any riots or attacks on white people.

Equal treatment? Well maybe if they where less belligerent, more respectful, and didn't commit over 70% of all violent crimes while making up less than 20% of the population you'd have a point.
Less belligerent you fuck? Tamir Rice was killed within 2-3 seconds of cops arriving on the scene. He was 12 years old. John Crawford was wearing earbuds having a conversation with his back turned.

Talk to me again about blacks being belligerent you racist prick.

Well no. No matter how many times the article says "elected", he wasn't. There was no election and no one voted for him for anything. He registered for a county Republican precinct committee officer slot and, after 4 days, he was uncontested and they awarded him the spot. As reprehensible as that is, he wasn't elected.

I understand your point and admit I didn't see that part and just echoed the headline. That said, are votes required to be "elected"? I'm not sure if it is wrong to state that someone was elected congressman (for example) just because the seat was uncontested.
