"The video" to me sounds like redacted interview video not an actual video of them doing it or even entering the same locker room space (which in itself means nothing). "More likely than not" keeps appearing, which is not evidence of anything.
What is evidence, especially if there are multiple white players saying the same thing, is other teammates saying they saw it. If that's the case, then truly that is F'd up they're not doing anything. Still not as bad as the Facebook video, but, definitely not great. Can't say we didn't have the same type of shit going on when I was in HS, but no actual homo sexual assault stuff. Hopefully karma catches up with these winnars in a profound way...

The armed forces have seen this sort of thing, especially in overseas situations like the Middle East.

I just did a Google search to confirm and quickly found a bunch of cases. This is just the tiniest tip of the iceberg. Like I said, broom handles are the most popular.
Case 1:
In 2013, Josh Villegas was a 14-year-old freshman on the Oak Hills High School football team in Hesperia, California, when he says he was attacked while using a urinal inside a locker room bathroom. Overpowered by teammates, Josh says he was pinned against a wall face-first while another teammate sodomized him with his fingers. No suspects were identified and the case resulted in no criminal charges. But in July 2014, Josh and his mother sued the school district, alleging that coaches and administrators allowed to exist a "long-lasting tradition of ritual hazing and sadomasochistic sexual beatings." School officials, who completed their own investigation in about two days, found no wrongdoing and deny those allegations.
Case 2:
In September 2011, at least two older teammates of Jordan Preavy, a junior on the Milton High School football team in Vermont, used a broom handle to sodomize the 16-year-old through his clothing as part of a hazing ritual. Witnesses told police that Jordan's head snapped back and he looked pained, yelling "No!" and "Get off!" Jordan never told his parents about the incident. In 2005, 18-year-old D'Arcy McKeown was a high-profile incoming center for the McGill University football team in Montreal. Soon after he arrived, he started hearing degrading and violent threats from some veteran players, including ominous references to “Dr. Broom” and a bizarre hazing ritual. On an August night on a squash court, away from staff and coaches, D'Arcy was sodomized with a broom handle while teammates cheered from the bleachers above.
Case 4:
The text message from a Juanita High School football player to his freshman teammate was ominous. They were “gonna jubie” a student in the locker-room showers. The student, a volunteer manager with the football team, was being held on the shower floor by a group of 14- and 15-year-old players, his pants and underwear yanked down as he was jabbed at with a broomstick.
Case 5:
A month after hazing allegations came to light at a Chester County, Pennsylvania, high school, the district attorney announced charges against three football players accused of sodomizing a younger teammate with a broomstick. Older boys are accused of putting their genitals on younger boys' heads, and on Oct. 15, three 17-year-olds allegedly forced a broomstick into the anus of a younger, smaller boy. It happened after the younger player opted out of cleaning the locker room in his underwear, authorities said. Case 6:
Convicted N.M. High School Players Get Sued for Sodomizing Teammates. Fernando Salgado was one of four students at A.B. Sunnyside Washington High School

Police say the victim, a student with learning disabilities, was stuffed inside a locker, slammed into a wall and sodomized with a plastic knife handle in a series of attacks. As part of a hazing practice done to freshman and sophomores, two teens held down a 16-year-old while a third teen put one finger into the victim's anus.

Mepham High School New York
Veteran football players penetrated three JV players with a broomstick, pine cones and golf balls during several attacks.
Case 21
Barnegat High School New Jersey
Hazing allegations involving molestation of a 14-year-old were reported after a party at a residence where a football team member was reportedly held down by other team members and sexually assaulted with a pool stick, according to the ABC-TV web site. Some team members used cell phones to photograph the alleged initiation.

Winslow High School Arizona
Members of a girl’s athletic squad charged that they saw evidence of male athletes being sodomized with fingers and objects.

Yes, because it's not clear if the asshole actually pre-planned kicking a coat hanger into this kids rectum, or actually intended to embed the coat hanger into the kids rectum (as opposed to just flaunting his awesome assholishness), or whatnot. Bizarre shit. We had a semi-rough HS but I just don't ever, ever remember shit like that going down. 1x1 fights, 1x2, 3, 4, 5 fights, sure. Many on many fights, not uncommon. I guess I could never for sure say it never happened but I just don't remember any of that happening to that degree. I get the hazing, the macho behavior, the male dominance, the out of control no aftereffects reflection thoughts and subsequent actions...just don't get the actual ass stuff. From a high school perspective I can see how taking a 20oz bottle and pushing it - not in a penetrative manner - could be construed as funny (actual good natured, malicious, whatever)...but who the F puts their fingers in another dudes ass? I can think of all the hazing and the bullying I ever saw, heard about, did, or was even subjected to in the locker rooms...never can I recall some intentional ass penetration going down (male on male, sneaking females up there is another conversation 🙂 ). Plea bargaining, however distasteful the circumstances might be, is a legal maneuver in our common law system conducted on a daily basis over a plethora of matters. Is our legal system always fair to the victims? No there are instances when the results can be ethically challenged but legally sound and this is why academia promotes the study of ethics across pretty much all subject matters.
Personally I believe that when a person is assaulted by another, keeping in context that self defense is not assault, that the accused should not be able to lessen the consequences of their crime in the matter via a plea bargain. Can the victim ever be made whole? Nobody can ever remove the psychological scars of being wronged in that manner and no amount of compensation can wipe it clean.
