We have the 4 points I've provided.

I don't know what his primary point was or what he intended.

I think that's an acceptable assessment. Sure, why not. Yes?

You don't know what he intended? It was a relatively short post. Are you saying you have no ability to determine what points he was trying to communicate with that post? (Yes/No)

Stepping away from the computer for awhile. Don't worry, I'll be back when I have more time.

Everything is everything? They organized shit in a specific way, and their concerns relate specifically to many members of the dominant society being unable to understand them, which is like a basic tenet of you american liberals. Lots of classes will include cultural content, but these 3 are that school's cultural studies classes, engineered, for better or worse, specifically to address this problem (or "exacerbate" it), not to be part of it (or to be part of it).

I used to think I was a liberal, until I got on here. Now it seems I am the prototypical confused American, because I dont know what I am anymore.

If you care about people and think critically then you're probably a liberal and may be qualified to teach cultural studies.

If there's a label that fits you well, then you aren't thinking, for no one side or ideology is best for all situations and issues.

So, congratulations! If you're confused, you're thinking, and you can make your selection between the giant douche bag and the turd sandwich without thinking it's a good thing.

Unless you're a Florida Democrat and want to vote a straight "D" ticket but just can't figure out how. :D

I feel like there is a good "She wants the D" joke in there.

I have been in FL for about 8 years now, and this state is nuts. South FL is made up of mostly non native people. Somehow, there is a filter that only lets in crazy people.

Yeah, it's like Florida is becoming Mini California. I suspect Mike Myers.

Im originally from CA, and it was not even close to what FL is. I miss CA, and wish my GF lived in CA, instead of FL, so I could get the Fu#k out of this state.

Its too damn hot, and humid. For as much as it rains here, nobody knows how to drive in it. Everything is too spread out, and takes forever to get too. God damn bugs everywhere. Im tired of sweating all the time. Everything is a stupid HOA controlled community.

I could go on and on.

Labels suck. I am Liberal in a lot a ways but I am also conservative in some important ways and in the middle to round out the rest. But if I am labeled a liberal I am suppose to be against this verdict or for the bill and thats all bulls shit.

Many things most a lot of ATOT folks could gain a consensus on a free internet to much civilian spying, how do you label that?

Thank you, despite being challenged and offered a chance to recognise the explicit racism of the OP, xj0hnx, you are clearly enforcing that this is not racist:

That bloody filthy racist justly got called out, and yet you and many others continue to deny the presence of such racism. You thereby defend the above. Bloody ill....

Beyond that, where is the troll? How many embarrassingly stupid and offensive threads does michael1980 start and then run-way? I called it in the second post.

~~~~~~~ oh, and Dank, you've wasted pages with your stubbornness for misreading waggy's statement.
You have taken stupid to a whole new level.
I see nothing has changed in that state since i left in 75'. Well, actually, the politcal landscape was quite recognizable then. Basically, moderate. Now it's kookoo for cocoa puffs, crazy wing nut right wing.
I have? I asked you a question, and that was your response.
It is therefore quite rational to conclude for you to support the OP and find no racism in his post.
For clarity, I will repost for what xj0hnx finds me to be "stupid:"
~~~~~~~~~

The racist are the ones that think a white person can't teach those classes just as well, because they're white.
Thank you, despite being challenged and offered a chance to recognise the explicit racism of the OP, xj0hnx, you are clearly enforcing that this is not racist:

They [Blacks and Hispanics] want to be taught 'their' [Blacks and Hispanics] history. Where they [Blacks and Hispanics] come from.

Well they [Blacks and Hispanics] are in America, and should learn American history.

Don't like it, go back to where you [Blacks and Hispanics] came from to get 'your' [Blacks and Hispanics] history.

That bloody filthy racist justly got called out, and yet you and many others continue to deny the presence of such racism. You thereby defend the above. Bloody ill....

alternatively, OP thinks cultural studies = history. Why not? Almost everyone here seems to think that. Teaching asian history in fresno? Of course the OP would be upset. You can't conclude that he's racist just because his pronouns caused some emotional reaction.

I self-identify as a flaming liberal. However, I am against gun-control. I believe government should be in the business of punishing crime, not preventing it. Attempting to prevent crime quickly becomes an exercise in futility and you wind up with Homeland Security, which every American should be ashamed of, not to mention the War on Drugs.

On fiscal issues I defer to experts, but it seems clear to me that what passes as fiscal conservatism these days has been a resounding failure at every turn. Fiscal conservatism seems to be defined as cut spending, cut taxes, cut government services, always. This is basically the Tea Party platform in a nutshell, so they can all be written off as misguided, as can anyone that thinks "taxes are too damn high."

On social issues my rule is simple. If you aren't negatively affecting someone else, government should not be involved. Negatively affecting includes oppression based on natural traits.

I feel like you are dragging this out quite a bit.

Just get to the point where you think that waggy saying blacks should be fired if they are not teaching minority history already.

I tried that several times and every single time you guys got confused. Sorry it has to be this way. It is sad that it has to take so many posts just to come to a consensus on what Waggy was trying to communicate with that post. It seems relatively straightforward to me but I can't even get you guys to commit to a simple answer about that. We could have moved on much faster, but you are making up logical fallacies and he is afraid if he just answers honestly I am going to trick him or something.

why don't you just ask waggy directly? why is this so important to you that you absolutely have to be right? it seems a bit childish going about it this way.

No, we did not get confused, we disagreed. You are starting to get to some Moonbeam level stuff here.

You believe Waggy's comment was to mean that Blacks could not teach "American" history is the inverse of whites cannot teach black history. You had to infer this because that is not explicitly said. So lets just focus on this already.
