White Bread

I was going to make a sandwich until I found out that I only had a loaf of white bread. Shit tastes nasty since I started eating Whole Wheat a few years ago. It has a weird sour/salty taste ( No my bread isn't expired) that makes it disgusting.

Anyone still eat white bread?

over processed crap is what white bread is. I got some tasty multi-grain bread I found at sprouts. I could just eat the bread by itself.

All I care about is taste, white bread tastes better, people don't make grilled cheese on wheat bread because it tastes like shit. And Sara Lee has whole grain white bread now, which is white bread + not so processed.

I grew up with wheat bread. My mom never bought the white stuff.

Personally, I prefer bread from the local bakery than that grocery store garbage. Tastes loads better and it's usually cheaper.

White bread eats shit for every purpose. I use seeded rye for everything, and it makes grilled cheese especially good.

LOL @ tags.

My favorite is Italian style bread...it's the consistency of sourdough, but it's sweet. Being on the west coast, though, I can never find it. Shit's crazy popular on the east coast though and I ate it a lot over there.

Another vote for seeded rye, or white in certain applications. I'm not a big fan of the wheat.

Where's the pole?

Seeded Rye is amazing, but I find it doesn't last very long in the fridge 🙁

You eat it too fast, or it goes bad? If the latter, I haven't had that problem at all. It keeps very well for me, and never gets moldy. If by some chance I have a loaf longer than a week, I use it for toasty type things. It's still /ok/ to eat "raw", but I'd rather just get a fresh loaf for that. I've made grilled cheese with rye that expired a couple months previous(lost in the back of fridge), and it was still great for that purpose.

I like most bread except for bread that has seeds and other crap in it. I like my bread one consistency,.

Potato's alright. Not my favorite, but if a white type bread is needed for something, it's on my list along with Italian or French(my preferred white). Regular white is inedible AFAIC. It has so little substance, you can watch it deform due to a strong look. It's like formed air.
