Dell Main Desktop:
MSI Ti4200 64mb - able to handle all the games I throw at it for now & overclocks to 300/600
(Going to upgrade soon - probably FX5700 Ultra)

Dell Insiron 8200:
GF4 440 Go 32mb

Others:
Dell GF4 420MX 64mb
eVGA GeForce2 MX 32mb
Diamond Viper V770 Ultra (TNT2 Ultra) 32mb
Diamond Monster Fusion (Voodoo Banshee) 16mb
Diamond Monster 3D (Voodoo Graphics) 4mb
Diamond Stealth S220 (Rendition V2100) 4mb

BTW, I'm looking forward to see the Diamond name back in business - they made really good cards and supported them as well!

Man... I feel jealous at the same time as not. I have a Mobility 9000 with 64MBs RAM. I bought the sager laptop last november and I think it still out performs a lot of people's desktops... Obviously not a lot of people that are here on anandtech because we the people at anandtech actually care about computers, at least a little to be here.

hmm, 3 years ago i would have agreed with you. but i learned my lesson the hard way. laptop for work and play is not a good thing.

i had a S3 Savage (8MB integrated) onboard chip with my Toshiba laptop with a P3 600. cost me a bundle back then and was a real speed demon too. outperformed most of my friend's PC's.

problem was... after only 2 years of gaming etc etc, the CPU is weak and the S3 Savage is almost useless. could used to run games @ 800x600x32 for everything and now it can't go anywhere near that. 640x480x16 is pushing it...

right now the laptop is used only for word processing and my desktops are for play. if all you have is a laptop, don't expect it to last long. get a desktop!
