they're the hometown team but I agree with you. They're a shell of what they were at the start of the season. Every team has had attrition through injuries but the Seahawks look pretty damaged.
yes, but they're primary attrition at this point (RB 1-3, holy shit), has since been replaced by a consistent, talented Homer, and a strangely effective guy called Marshawn Lynch. ....which just makes Russell Wilson that much nastier, that more difficult to contain.
And that's what I like about them being the best team right now in regaining the early-mid season swagger of...them and the Chiefs, tbh. Seattle has the chance to peak with an entirely new offensive look, that has been deployed for only 2 weeks, really...so little tape for everyone else, but 3 solid-damn weeks of working in a pretty awesome backfield to the mix. As such, the O-line has been playing harder. They've gotten a lot more physical, especially late game compared to their direct opponents of late.
I think a lot of attention will be on Clowney, though--official and coaching. He might even be something of a liability if the refs are keying in on him for hits on every play. I mean, it makes sense that they would.
...I'm thinking Chiefs v Seahawks in SB this year. (the SC Niners aren't going to be able to pull 2/3 on this Hawks team this year. They really don't have the guts for it. They fade kinda late in games.)
