they're the hometown team but I agree with you. They're a shell of what they were at the start of the season. Every team has had attrition through injuries but the Seahawks look pretty damaged.

yes, but they're primary attrition at this point (RB 1-3, holy shit), has since been replaced by a consistent, talented Homer, and a strangely effective guy called Marshawn Lynch. ....which just makes Russell Wilson that much nastier, that more difficult to contain.

And that's what I like about them being the best team right now in regaining the early-mid season swagger of...them and the Chiefs, tbh. Seattle has the chance to peak with an entirely new offensive look, that has been deployed for only 2 weeks, really...so little tape for everyone else, but 3 solid-damn weeks of working in a pretty awesome backfield to the mix. As such, the O-line has been playing harder. They've gotten a lot more physical, especially late game compared to their direct opponents of late.

I think a lot of attention will be on Clowney, though--official and coaching. He might even be something of a liability if the refs are keying in on him for hits on every play. I mean, it makes sense that they would.

...I'm thinking Chiefs v Seahawks in SB this year. (the SC Niners aren't going to be able to pull 2/3 on this Hawks team this year. They really don't have the guts for it. They fade kinda late in games.)

Your prediction is duly noted. I hope they make it there I'm just realistic.

Heh, and I'd be fine with the Niners winning that one, too. If it can't be the Seahawks, then I'm going for the Niners most likely (whoever they play in the SB if they make it). It it's neither Hawks or Niners, then Baltimore, I guess?...they are the local team, but as I'm more familiar with/prefer Seahawks and Niners, either of those two against Baltimore just makes me want to pull for them more.

I don't know what you're drinking there but the 49ers are a 60 minute team. You'll see. I think you should pull back from the Seahawks, that's just unrealistic your expectations.

Gee, I just now realized why you are such an angry, bitter person-your member name forever attaches you to a second rate, shitty football team. Even the number one pick couldn't bear to play one more season.there (how did that "suck for Luck" season work out for you?).

Maybe the mods will let you change your member name to "Galactically Stupid Patriots Hater".

Facts (such as calling out McDaniels’ horrific head coaching experience) don’t make me a “galactically stupid Patriots Hater;” they make you yet another ignorant Patriots homer for not knowing those facts or even worse, willfully ignoring them. You’ve got nothing but insults and your widdle feelings were hurt when you got crushed with facts about McDaniels’ stunning ineptitude as a head coach up to this point. I really even wonder if you knew he WAS a head coach at one point, but his tenure was so hilariously bad and brief I could forgive you for forgetting. Let’s not forget that the “genius” got duped and traded up 3 slots to draft Tebow, when he could’ve sat there and got him without trading up.

I'm not sure why - absolutely NO ONE here wanted him as our coach outside of the Colts GM. Everyone in Indianapolis was relieved and cheering when he tucked tail and returned to Belicheat. He'll flop again, just like he did in Denver. Even entertaining the thought of hiring McDaniels is retarded. He sucks.
We can agree on that, 1st and goal from the one and he calls 3 off-tackle runs to the left, all fail. This was against the 31st rated red zone D by the way. Patriot fans recognize just how predictable the offense had become and many, (including me), hope he gets hired somewhere else.

He MIGHT be an OK coach if there is a strong GM over him. His biggest blunders in Denver were due to him having control of the roster. However, I doubt he will go anywhere with a strong GM - the Colts were probably the best possible situation he could’ve hoped for and he screwed that up, and I think it’s because he wanted to be the effective GM too.

If they were a 60 minute team, then they wouldn't have surrendered a ~15? point lead to Seattle in the final game, only lucky to skate through under some boneheaded last second calls on the final drive from Seattle.

Anyway, it's a different Seattle team than what was going on 3, 4 weeks ago. You should be aware of that.

Yes, we in New England know that you ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, cannot have an unsuccessful stint with another team and have a successful career with anyone else....

And Indy, you are right- Galactically Stupid Patriots Hater was a little harsh-my apologies. Perhaps "Lead Paint Gourmet" would be more subtle.

It's just too bad the average game takes around 180 minutes to actually play... :p

Unfortunately, the SeaChickens are notorious for letting their fans down during the playoffs. No one seems to be as adept at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...and vice versa. Most of their wins are by a touchdown or less...making MOST games real "nail biters" for their fans. The ones that aren't...are the ones where they implode early in the game and never seem to recover.

It was distressing that they surrendered that lead, it's true. But it was in Seattle. Note that they did triumph on that goal line stand at the end, not exactly a collapse. I don't expect anything. They may well be champs in the end. It's not a great sign that they've been in so many close games. Seattle? Well, as you know it's all abut Wilson and his receivers. The 49ers defense is gonna be pretty good. I just heard that they're getting Tarpp and Dee Ford back and that will make the D that much stronger, and a lot. Of course, the Hawks have to get past the cheese heads to get to the championship game.

In order of who I want to least likely to win with whose left:

1. Seahawks
2. Texans
3. Packers
4. Titans
5. Vikings
6. Ravens
7. Chiefs
8. 49ers

Who I think will actually make the SB: 49ers/Seahawks vs. Ravens. I think a great alternative would be Vikings vs. Chiefs. I'd be happy if either of these teams win.

Of course it's possible he could be better on his second stint - but it's also possible I'll win the lottery tomorrow. He was an arrogant ass in Denver and his own hubris sunk him.

Lead Paint - the breakfast of Champions for Patriots fans since 2001.

Talk about a team with a history of disappointing their fans in the playoffs--especially against the NFCW! :D

but yeah, much really isn't known at this point. All the NFC games could be very tight

The NFCW is what concerns me the most for the Ravens. The Ravens swept the NFCW this season. BUT....if by chance the Ravens do make the Superbowl.....I have a feeling they'll be playing a NFCW team...for a second time. First time games against Jackson went well.... But they did play him once already. So I guess we'll see if they can figure it out this go around if the Superbowl ends up that way.

And im not too sure the Packers or Seahawks will make it.

I think San Fran just got a few guys back on defense and the Vikings had a starting CB needing surgery Thursday so they had to promote a guy from the practice squad. The starting S safety is also downgraded to out, good luck with the Kittles guy fellas!. I've noticed that SF's O-line can become an issue at time and the Vikings do get after the QB very well. It will be interesting to see if the Titans Henry can continue where he left off at NE, NE has some bruising-sized linemen and linebackers but it didn't matter, that O-line played well and Henry was a monster. Clearly Jackson has progressed a lot this season, he's not a running QB who just throws once in a while, he can gash you from the pocket now too. The playoff's always ratchet up the pressure though, even a guy with Bree's experience is not immune. Looking forward to a great weekend of playoff football.

That's an interesting ranking idea. Let's see, for me, from least-want to most-want:

1. Seahawks
2. Ravens
3. Texans
4. Vikings
5. 49ers
6. Titans
7. Packers
8. Chiefs

Wow, that looked easy for the Niner's, Vikings will need to maintain possession to keep hat unit off the field.
