Ive put together several systems in the past year, mostly Intel.. Two days ago ...My latest is a switch.. AMD MP 1600 on a Tiger.. Im impressed for the first time with AMD ... at last a chipset to support it properly.

I see absolutely no reason to build an intel system now. It is cheaper to build an AMD system, and it will run faster.

In regards to the first couple of posts. I am one of the %70 who built an AMD system(1800+). And I'm also one of the %30 who doesn't know what he's doing

While I don't really build new systems (I just morph the ones I have into bigger and better machines ), I did just build my first AMD rig this past month:

I am currently working on an AMD comp. I have the CPU, and the RAM. The mobo was RMAed, and another one should arrive in a few weeks. The case I bought had a sucky PSU which self-destructed. I returned the case. I'm getting another case soon. Maybe it sux to be me....all these components are screwing up on me.
