Which system, AMD or Intel have you built in the last 12 months?

I've done four builds in past year, all AMDs. Why go Intel when AMD is much cheaper...

I've built 18 AMD systems this year- 23 Intel- but the Intels were for one customer

I've built 3 systems all based on AMD CPU's. 2 (Including my own) based on a 1GHz TBird-C. The other on a 1500+ XP.

Built my AMD from a conglomeration of used/new parts this year. First one I've ever done. It was a learning

Once my Father-in-law heard, He asked me to do one for him (wife will probably make me do it). They want
a new one at work too.

It's amazing, once people hear that you've put one together, they pop out of the woodwork and ask you to
do it for them.

Most likely, I'll do it. It's been kind fun, so far.

I recently went from my Pentium 3 933 to an Athlon XP 1600+ with KT266A chipset, and while I must say the AMD processor rocks, my pentium3 was still a great cpu

Built an AMD, first time ever. Almost fried the motherboard.

Built probably 10 AMD systems between personal and work machines. Built 0 Intel machines.

Biggest problem with AMD systems on the field so far? 2 failed IBM 75GXP drives, 1 failed 60GXP, and one failed PSU. About 2/3s of the AMDs have IBM drives, the others have Maxtors.

Probably half a dozen AMD Athlon systems... I haven't built an Intel system since my PIII 450!

I built two AMD systems in the last year.
I am curious. Why did you decide to build an AMD or an Intel based system?
I tried AMD about 4 -5years ago because of its price compared to Intel.
And when it came to upgrade or built a new system I've gone with AMD because of its performance.

I did searchs for AMD and Intel in both the General Hardware and the CPU forums:

General Hardware: AMD 70 threads and Intel 50
CPU: AMD 34 threads and Intel 19.
