For most of you, this is a no brainer.
Bob Seger, i think Metallica Fvcked it up.

The radio sparked me to make this thread.

On a related subject, is it just me or is classic rock way better than the "rock" of now?

I actually prefered the metallica version. I am not a big metallica fan, and I do like classic rock. But for me the metallica version was better

That's a tough one. I really really like Metallica's version, and it was the first version I heard, but Bob Seger's is really good too, and it has a sax, which gives it points. I'd give them a tie. Bob Seger's version, being the first, of course is really good, but Metallica took it and gave it a whole new sound, that, while completely opposite of what Bob Seger had in mind, sounds cool.

.....
:music:Here I ammm on the road againnnnn:music:

Metallica wins. Barely. I've always been partial to their covers over their original stuff, and their covers over the original songs. This one definitely isn't the landslide victory of Astronomy or any of the Mercyful Fate or Misfits stuff, but it's a bit better.

Metallica turned it into a real driving song. Bob's version just seems more... Stationary.

I hate to say this, but, Turn the Page sucks.

I can't stand that song.

Rambling Gambling Man? Now you're talking.

Seger. You get more of the feel of the bleak monotony and boredom of life on the road with his version.

Rambling Gambling Man? Now you're talking.

For some reason, "Get Out Of Denver" has always been my favorite.
