I guess in a country where petty crimes aren't rampant, it's okay to naturally keep it your back pocket. In some countries, you'll lose your wallet faster than you can sit down in the metro station. :p

Indeed. I used to keep it in my back pocket, until it was pickpocketed in a crowded subway.
My wallet found a permanent home in my left front pocket ever since.

Front right for 2 reasons:
  • Right handed.
  • My wallet is too thick to put in the back pocket.

The only thing that's ever in my back pocket is paper.

To the guys whining about a "bulky wallet" in the front pockets ... try carrying bills, not coin, and buy pants that aren't sprayed on.

front right pocket = keys, pens, pencil (student) = convenience factor

when i go into 'at risk' areas, i keep my hand in that pocket...no body is stealing my sh!t, though I had a few attempts in Beijing
