Just finished BiB (#2) but have yet to play the original. The quickdraw part of the game took a couple deaths to figure out at first, now it's pretty much second nature... At normal skill level, by the end of the game I was winning almost all the draws on the first try... Just have to keep the hand real close to the gun and don't pull the trigger too fast and you are set... That and keep the guy in the same part of the screen, not too close, not too far.. Then the aiming is pretty quick... Aim for a gut shot... ;)

As for performance, I don't know what framerates, but... It was playing was pretty smooth on my rig...

Max game settings at 1900x1200, but no AA..
qx9750 @ 4ghz
ATI 4890 @ 900x1100mhz
Vista 32b 4gb ram (yah, only 3+gb registers)

Now to find a cheap copy of the original to give it a try...

Completely disagree. it's about the same as an FPS, especially in aiming for ranged combat.

U are in crack...

One thing that did influence my decision to buy the game is the lack of DRM on the retail disc. Just like Prince of Persia (also published by Ubisoft), Bound in Blood has zero DRM, not even a serial number. This is important to me because it means I won't have to deal with any potential hassles in the future, like install limits or online authentication. And to me that alone is worth supporting.

I think u need a serial for multiplayer...

Man, hope it's better than the first, because I thought the first sucked. I also thought the slo mo was so counter intuitive. That just MO.

Just finished Bound in Blood. Liked it quiet a bit. Good story, good shootouts. Highly recommended

Haven't played the first - but So far feels like Brother in Arms / Medal of Honor games in a western setting [run/ride to point a [indicated by a waypoint], kill some baddies, rinse and repeat]. Not a bad thing by any stretch - but A LOT of "cut scenes". I was really hoping for something along the lines of Lucasarts Outlaws [now there's a game I'd like to see a sequel]

I finished the game yesterday and it was great. Some things were better than the first game while others were worse, but overall it was just as good. The frequent high quality cut-scenes definitely made you feel like you were playing an interactive Western movie. Also even though I knew exactly how it would end because of the original game, it was very interesting how they tied the games together.

If you think the Mexican desert looked great, wait until you get to the forested mountain areas later on.

Techland definitely did a great job with this one, and I hope there?s a third installment in the future.
