I have two phones, one coming back from Samsung repair in a couple days.

Blu Life One X2
Snapdragon 430 Octacore 1.4Ghz/1.1Ghz
64GB + MicroSD
4GB single channel ram
Android 6.0
5.2" 1080 IPS
Quickcharge 3.0
Non-removable battery
16mp/8mp cameras, both lackluster. Flash in both directions

Or...

Samsung Note Edge (Note 4 interals)
Snapdragon 805 2.7Ghz Quad Core
32GB eMMC (part that failed) + MicroSD
3GB Dual channel RAM
Android 6.0
5.7" 2560x1600 AMOLED
Quickcharge 2.0
Removable Battery
16mp/3.7mp cameras, with the rear being very high quality.

The part that I really don't like with the Blu is that root is bricking devices and the phone reports itself having a 13" screen, which makes camera and third party apps a little odd. On screen controls get in the way a lot. The Samsung is an older phone, but still seems like the better choice.

Which would you choose to keep?

I never much cared for the Note Edge but I'd take that all day, everyday over the Blu.
The Blu is a budget device that you'd buy for your kid.

The Note Edge was kind of an oddball device (at least Samsung tries things and pushes the smartphone envelope) but atleast its a flagship class device for its day.

If the note still works fine, I'd keep using that. I think those even have a removable battery, so getting a battery replacement should be easy in case that's starting to show age.

I got the Note back. I haven't used it in 6 months since it broke. Samsung sent a brand new phone, so I guess that settles it. I forgot just how nice the AMOLED screen in. Performance is much better than I remember. Off to sell the Blu.

Blu has *horrible* issues with malware direct from Blu & very lax security policies.
I wouldn't use a Blu if it was free.

Did they send the exact same model or did you get a free upgrade to something newer?

Same model, even kept it as the N915V Verizon variant. Im cool with that since I dont need to buy any more accessories. Comes carrier unlocked. I put my MetroPCS apn settings in and I was off.

It was a fine beater phone for $80. They really dont patch their phones which is kind of shitty.

Since I got a 'new' Note it came with their latest patch and last android version 6.0.1. I was on 5 something since you could only OTA update if you were using Verizon.
