Which NFL player has the most to prove this weekend?

In my view it's TO..he's at the point in his career where for most guys it tends to go downhill, and this weekend really will dictate where he's off to from here. We haven't seen much of him in training camps or preseason play, and while we know he probably still has a lot in him still..whether or not he decides to display it is another question..

Reggie is still young and has plenty of time to develop, and with Deuce playing alongside him isn't expected to carry the Saints yet..Carson has shown he's mobile and healthy in the preseason, and Favre is just..done pretty much.

I'd like to see Larry Johnson confirm (hopefully) or deny the hype surrounding him since the end of last year.

God, I have to say Farve, he needs to prove to himself that hes getting too old for the team and let the rookie take over.

Favre has nothing prove. We all know it's his last year and we don't expect much from him.

i'm not sure on that. he was talking about going to a diffrent team if a trade was offered.

personally i want to watch the bears QB. the starting QB has been in the legue 4years (or 3) and has not finished a season. heck i think he only has 12-14 games played between them all. not to mention he is not that great.

he had 1750 yards and 20 touchdowns last year while starting only 9 games, and he needs to prove himself?

Personally, I'd like to see how Greg Jennings performs for the Packers. He's been doing very well but he's a rookie so you never know. I'll also have an eye out for Ahman Green (coming off an injury) and Favre of course.

Yes he has to prove it wasn't a fluke.

i'll say rivers cause he hasn't done crap.. ever! at least all of those players have done something... even bush has played well in preseason... ok, he broke a couple of big runs.. but we'll see how well he does... san diego totally gave up on drew just like that... rivers better be able to pick it up...

you might want to add edge to that list too.. he's amazing, but he went from one of the best o-lines to one of the worst... good luck to him

farve has nothing to prove.. he's a guaranteed hall of famer.. yea, he's lost a step... ok, he's lost a lot of steps, but in my opinion, he has earned the right to do whatever he wants..

TO will do well.. i hate the guy, but that guy is just a physical freak, and if he doesn't do well, he'll just blame drew not throwing him the ball or something else but himself...

a fluke is one or two games. a WHOLE season is NO FLUKE.

i do not beleive he will get close to it this year. teams know him now and will make sure he is gaurded better.

Alex Smith, he has to prove he is the suckiest QB since Ryan Leaf by throwing 10INT/1TD this season.

He wouldn't confirm that it is indeed his last year.

WTF......typical NFL thread on the forums. No mention of Rex Grossman the guy has been injured twice in the last 2 seasons and this is his year to prove he is a first round draft pick and if he doesn't produce or gets injured and Greise steals the show than he is done in Chicago. I think Grossman has a lot more to prove than Brett Favre, we all know he is going to the Hall of Fame, what else is left? He has a Super Bowl ring?

I would vote cullpepper, even though its not this weekend. He screwed um on thurs. nite, he still has to prove that his demon days from the vikings are over, and he has to prove that he is a worthy assest, and a good leader to turn this team around. I dont see any of thoose qualities and I hope he proves me wrong.

while i didnt name him i already mentioned it.

edit: oh and he has been in the legue 4 years (wel this is his 4th) and has completed 8 games. he also has some amazing stats..pfft.

Year Team G GS Att Comp Pct Yards YPA Lg TD Int Tkld 20+ 40+ Rate
2003 Chicago Bears 3 3 72 38 52.8 437 6.07 59 2 1 4/41 7 1 74.8
2004 Chicago Bears 3 3 84 47 56.0 607 7.23 40 1 3 5/22 8 1 67.9
2005 Chicago Bears 2 1 39 20 51.3 259 6.64 54 1 2 1/9 4 1 59.7
TOTAL 8 7 195 105 53.8 1303 6.68 59 4 6 10/72 19 3 68.8

i don't think he is worth all the trouble he as caused. im just waiting for him to get hurt yet again..

One weekend is kind of hard to judge anything. But I'm surprised nobody has said anything about some Mario Williams. I'm still wondering who's this guy, what had he done to be picked by the Texans over Reggie Bush.

Mario Williams doesn't have to prove anything right away as the point over picking him over Reggie Bush was that he would be a better long term pick.

If that's the case the Texans GM is a patient guy. Perhaps the Texans will have the right for the number 1 draft pick for the next few years, then Mario Williams will have a chance to develop with those guys.
