Rivers, SD a playoff quality team and they let their star QB go for guy who's never started.

I'm still kind of hesitant to see Palmer play this week. He looked good in pre-season, but I just have reservations on how well that knee holds up in a "real" game.

Whatever happened to that scandal with Bush and the home is parents got that broke right around draft day? It seems to have disappeared.

Wow you are so fvcking retarded.

You actually think that Bush has done more to prove himself in the preseason than Rivers?

Eitherway, neither has started an NFL game, so Philip hasn't had the time to "do crap".

They didn't just "give up on drew". They have a lot of $$$ in Rivers ( and he has had time behind Brees to learn the offense), Drew had the injury, and he the Saints were desperate.

No mention of Rex Grossman the guy has been injured twice in the last 2 seasons and this is his year to prove he is a first round draft pick and if he doesn't produce or gets injured and Greise steals the show than he is done in Chicago. I think Grossman has a lot more to prove than Brett Favre, we all know he is going to the Hall of Fame, what else is left? He has a Super Bowl ring?

Yeah he's definitely in the big spotlight along with TO and Bush. Sportscenter will be all over him Sunday night.

Rex Grossman has more to prove than just about everyone in this poll. Grossman is a young player who if does not play well in the first couple games, his career might be over. The poll list is instead either veterans who have already proved their worth, or rookies who are allowed some leniency and will still be starters if they get off to a slow start.

his agent turned it over to the nfl which turned it over to the FBI since they claimed extortion. Its probably buried over there. I doubt they are giving it top priority.

T.O. needs to produce because he is on my FF team. But not only that, but he has to prove that missing all those practices with a "hamstring injury" does not affect his performance.

Favre has nothing to prove to anybody, except for to prove that he can still do it to himself. it's most likely his last year, there is slight chance he will play next year maybe for different team.,

he is past he his prime, but still good enough to win the superbowl, that is if he had a good coach and team to play with.

In some ways TO has to prove he's worth the possible trouble and money he's being paid. His gripe witht he Eagles was purely money. He bitched and moan for money. He's getting paid now so he'll shut up. Now all he has to do is show up and then shove it in the face of some of the sports writers.

Larry Johnson has the prove it wasn't the line and there is no Penn State running back curse. But that will be over the course of the season.

I would have to say Philip Rivers. Chargers let go of Brees over money he wanted and money they are have paid Rivers. Rivers was highly rated a few years ago and will have to make fill the spot successfully. At times he was still a bit high strung during hte preseason.

The raiders are not the greatest defensive team anyhow. If he struggles, the Chargers may have a problem on their hands.

yeap. but he is not a big name so nobody cares. should be intersting to see how he does tommorow. If he comes out and gets 2 TD's he is fine. but if he play's like he has then i expect more people to complain.

Chicago has a lot rideing on this kid. he has been in 3 years and not done ****** besides get hurt. Even when "healthy" he sucks. At least we have Briese and orton for backups (heck i think ortons numbers are better then Grossman's. also he has won 10 games as a rookie)

The Raiders have upgraded the defense big time, starting with Michael Huff out there. They're young, fast, and are much improved over last year..

I think it's an amazing coincedence that the two people who think Rex Grossman has the most to prove this weekend are both from Chicago.

Or not.
