Which Mouse Do You Use For Gaming???

i just bought the logitech gaming mouse for $16.50 last night. and it's PHAT. i took it home, booted up the computer without the mouse plugged in yadda yadda... as soon as the screen settled, i noticed that the cursor was moving on the desktop much more fluidly--and that's just updating the drivers to mman 4.0... i put quake in (that's why i bought it anyway), and proceeded to play the deja level. just messing around, not even trying, i beat the board.
just wish it wasn't so fat(really) also, i'm going to have to get used to it.

i use a 10 dollar USB micro mouse w/ 3rd scroll button...ball mouse...works nice.
and doesn't look like crap, not to mention the ergonomics are better than the majority
of mice out there...surprisngly cheap - that was canadian too...i noticed those dexxa mice
and incredibly uncomfortable adn poorly desinged...i suggest any high-res USB ball mouse for
a cheap price...logitech is good, but not worth the money in my opinion.

i play cs too - and other fps...and will probably eventually get an optical, when this one goes..
never skipped for me.

Logitech Trackman Marble+

After using a trackball I'll never use a mouse again. Easier to use and takes up less desktop.

Logitch Mouseman+ Optical (w/blue led)

I had a first gen Explorer, but it skipped way to much. I got so mad at it I punched it and it... never worked the same after that. Then I got a Mouseman+ (regular ball version) and I loved it, whent he optical came out I bought it, took the original at work. Now if I could only get DSL...

I use the Logitech Cordless Mousman, but it's starting to wear out, so I may be getting an optical soon. (But cordless gaming is a wonderfull thing.)

<< 3M PMS right now, which is beginning to show warping.. >>

If it has nto warped too much already, you can save it by using 3m glue to stick it to a regular mouse pad.

I don't feel like reading everyones previous posts, so not sure if anyone has said this yet. I just bought a MS Optical Explorer, and I am a HUGE FPS fan, I usually play UT, Q3A, and CS. I have not once had a problem with skipping or anything.

I think I might give a Logitech Optical a try, maybe it was just my friends MS that skipped. BTW, I do have sensativity about 80%. I don't skip too much in UT or Q3, but I'm not very good at those games anyway hehe. In CS I'm constantly whipping around after killing a guy to check my back, and nothing sucks more then a 20-0 run ending because your mouse skips.

That Logitech gaming mouse someone was talking about, do you mean that wingman gaming mouse? Gray I think with 3 buttons and no scroll ball? I can always pick that up I guess if the optical doesn't work too well. Plus with an optical I don't have to fork over $30 for a Surface 1030 🙂 Thanks for all your input.

<< Once you try a Mouseman you will never go back to some cheap replica (including Intellieye Explorer, yes tried that, didnt like it). >>

That is only if you can use them. Thankfully, microsoft is making logitech designed mice and trackballs, just twice the size...I might have a trackball that can fit my hand now! woohoo! 😉

<< Intellimouse explorer, with a Mead Fivestar notebook as the mousepad. The cover is kind of plastic-like. Absolutely no skipping, and excellent sensitivity. >>

I second that! best pad around. Only problem is it eventually starts warping. Mine has now gone through almost 3 months 🙂

I use the BoomSlang 2000 and I Love it to death...in fact i loved it so much I wrote a little white lie story back to BoomSlang how I work for a Online Gaming site that does hardware reviews and wrote them up a dummy review that glorified the Mouse above all others and they were so happy that I built up the courage to ask them for a demo spare they might have laying around the office, they actually sent me a BRAND NEW ONE in the Cookie Case and ALL!!

2 BoomSlang 2000s!!!........There is no MOUSE that can TOUCH IT....PERIOD.

I have 2x MS IntelliMouse Explorers 🙂

I bought my first one a long time ago just when they came out.
And now that I went home to sweden over xmas I forgot my explorer
in england so I had to buy a new mouse when I got here... and I
tried them all, the new logitech mices (optical) and everything
and let's just say that nothing compares to the explorer.

I use an IKEA darkblue mousepad for 5 swedisk kronor (35 pence)
and it works perfectly (I change them every month though 🙂 !

ughh... i have tried the boomslang 2k for quite some time and compared it to my Mouseman Optical. While the BS2k is a good mouse, IMHO it cant touch the mouseman optical. I know the boomslang is suppose to be really sensitive and accurate but from MY experience, its not as accurate and doesn't feel as "smooth" as the mouseman. Thats just my opinion though, no flames please... 😛

logitech mouses are the best, even the shape of the mouse is far superior and contours your hand better than any microsoft mouse.
