Which language should I take?

no really, take whichever you think you'd use at some point in the future. Which country(s) seems most appealing for a visit? Take that language.

I took three years of Spanish... went to France over the summer and I could just about read/understand everything (get the gist of it, anyways).

Some Spaniards started speaking to me and I was able to talk back (this was in Paris too, randomly on the street). I'm Chinese... why did they approach me in Spanish? I was also yakked at in Japanese, but I don't know that.

I think that I would say German although I dont think that either will be all that helpful, maybe if you go into some foreign country doing somthing foreign, and I think that they would still know english if you are good at what you do
