You know, even rumors like that about LEH, even if they're not true, can cause liquidity to dry up and send them into a tailspin.

At the same time that counterparties are doubting LEH, the Fed is whispering in everybody's ear to keep spreading the money around, don't leave anyone out, there's plenty more where that came from!

It's a very desperate, hoarse whisper!
