Definitely we Apple people. It's because our machines actually are better than yours, whereas the AMD fanboys sort of have an argument.

Putting an Apple logo onto exactly the same hardware does NOT magically make it better.

True but making a fancy way to drag files into your recycle bin does.

I was at the Apple store the other day when some smug linux nerd came up and started going on about the virtues of free software, and why everything should be open source. I slit his throat. He wasn't so smug after that.

Maybe we need to add the *nix crowd. Command line for the win.

Not really. No one's ever followed me around the office blathering about how much they hate Macs.

I can think of one crowd that may approach the smugness of the dedicated Apple fanboi:

The jacka$$es donning spandex with tactical belts of power gel to ride their $8000 road bikes. Roadies have got to be some of the most smug a$$hats on the planet.

Should have added the Lunix crowd to the poll...

I own both a Mac and a PC and for everything but gaming I prefer the Mac.
Of course my $600 Dell is much faster than my $1200 iMac, but for everything, but gaming, that speed means almost nothing.

A Mac is a PC. Also, speed is incredibly important to most users. I really enjoy clicking any of my basic apps in Vista and having them instantly open up because they are pre-cached in RAM.

Well gee, no one has ever followed me around the office blathering about how much they love Macs. ;)

But look at any thread here about anything that happens with Apple, and it's full of hate. Between my personal and acquaintances and Anandtech, I'll go with the larger sample size and stick with my original assertion. ;)

Actually, it does. Check the wikipedia page.
