how about millipeds and centipeds. i just saw 3 in last 2 days, the latter that is. the former has a really tough shell i heard...
in the ascending order..
1. millipedes / centipedes
2. maggots
3. earthworms

spiders, hands down. Millipedes are awesome, especially the big 6" long ones. Maggots are gross but dont scare me

I'm not generally scared by creepy crawly things.
But I'd have to go with spiders since we now live in an area with Black Widows and I've killed several of them in my house. I was definitely afraid the first time I saw one.

I also despise earwigs and ants.

EDIT: Oh, I'm a little scared of mosquitos now since Oregon is supposed to be getting West Nile for the first time this year and we have some wetlands area a block from our house.

Spiders. I got a brown recluse bite on my foot a few years ago - had an open running sore the size of a silver dollar on my instep for over a month.

Oh yeah...thats what it is. Earwigs. Put that on the list and I will vote for it. I really, REALLY hate earwigs.

A kid I used to work with got bit by a brown recluse, he had like hole in his arm the size of a nickel or dime...it was crazy. I'm not sure if a doctor removed the tissue around the bite or what.

Spiders definately.
Nothing freaks me out more than walking through a huge spiderweb I didn't see, and wondering if the spider that was on the web is now on me somewhere. Cause I know damned well he didn't parachute from that web before I walked into it.

Women.
Really? What kind of cake would you like at your "Coming Out" party? 😛

:Q

One with a girl jumping out of it. 😉
I thought you didn't like girls.......so how about a pre-op tranny? They look pretty much like girls, but aren't so you shouldn't be too freaked out right? 😛

Fear of women != dislike of women.

I love women, but if my wife catches me near them, then I'm afraid. 🙁
Ah...I see.

Wife in full rage mode = scariest thing ev4r! 😛

I didn't have to have anything removed - it did become infected and they put me on antibiotics, but eventually it healed up pretty well. The bizarre thing was that it looked incredibly painful, but it never hurt at all.

I had one of those as well; it looked like someone had taken a blowtorch to my forearm but it didn't really hurt at all.

Beetles are god's punishment to mankind. I don't mind lizards. Snakes aren't so bad. Spiders I don't care for, but beetles are I detest. They are utterly horrific.

I found a B.Recluse in my house last year (I think it was). I hastily ordered some Demon WP and hosed the outside down.

I saw a brown mitsubishi spider last year with the license plate RECLUSE. I thought that was clever 🙂

I hate roaches the most, but i'm not really afraid of them. Wasps usually freak me out the most, spiders freak me out a lot too, but only if i walk into a web. The freakish fire ants they have here in the south really piss me off too.

I HATE centipedes and millipedes...ever since I saw that huge ass house centipede in my bathroom last year I've been afraid to sit on the toilet

I've been thinking about this for a while, I've got to hear the story 😛 I've never known caterpillars to really creep people out. Even little kids usually like them and let them crawl all over them, so what happened to you?

Spiders, roaches, and cicadas now that I know what they are. I've never heard of or seen them until I saw the thread a couple of weeks ago about them.

Not much of a story really. When I was a little kid I stepped on one of those really big green one. It gushed and splattered under my foot. I was so absolutely disgusted that I cried. Ever since then caterpillars have always made me uneasy. The thought of one crawling on me gives me the shivers. To me those squirmy, gushy little critters (no matter what kind) are disgusting.

Spiders, I have a small case of arachnophobia.

Cicadas are awesome, was on the east coast last week and they were everywhere. A tree at my hotel had like 20-30 cicadas just chillin on the the trunk. They are really friendly too, I scooped up about 4 of them with my hand and they didn't even fly away. I really wish I had my camera.

Those big roaches, the size of about your thumb. Too big to squish without making a mess and they fly damn it!
