I'm glad to see some of these self-loathing Americans overshadowed by people who actually have a clue.

bastards get 2 hour lunches and stuff, take more vacations
Americans work more and vacationless, the asshats that voted North America need to do some reading.
Correct, ignorance is abound...

?The U.S. has a productive workforce that is very prolific and can quickly respond to change, but the European work life has more quality to it,? Norquist said.
Barrie Peterson, associate director of the Institute on Work at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, agrees. ?Rates of stroke, alcoholism, abandonment of children ? we need to look at these issues too.?
?There are some very powerful negative impacts on different levels of our lives from working more and more,? Peterson continued. ?It has a negative impact on psychological health: parents are not available to help in their communities and unavailable for child-rearing.?

Not only do we (USA) work more, on a per hour worked we are by far the most productive. The productivity per hour worked in the US is at the highest it has ever been, and its always been higher than any where else in the world............

Did you read that article? The author concedes that while Americans might be harder working...

Europe has more output per hour, that's why they work less hours.

I don't by that guys statement. The stats that I could google show stroke prevalence rates close or exceeding the US in Europe. Plus, noone can successfully argue that the European alcoholism rate is less percentagewise than the US. We're talking Ireland, Germany and France here people. Not sure about child abandonment, but the Baltic region is notorious for child rearing issues, while the US has one of the strongest adoption programs in the world. I'm calling BS until this Assoc. Director can prove otherwise.
Where did I comment on anything about the "..."? Besides, the conclusion in that article is a matter of opinion, which is irrelevant to the topic here.Originally posted by: dderidex
