Canada has some pretty good beer, but I have to give the nod to Belgium for overall greatness.

If you think Guinness is the best stout, then you haven't had good stout. Guinness is the Budweiser of that beer style. It's a marketing whore, fairly bland beer, that you can pretty much find anywhere. Not to say I won't drink it, but it's by no means the gold standard of it's class.

This is an impossible question to answer unless you answer by style.
IPA - California (Stone, Bear Republic, Sierra Nevada)
Stout - Great Britain (Guinness, Murphys)
Wheat - Germany (Erdinger)
Oktoberfest - Germany (Spaten)
Belgian Abby - Belgium (Chimay)
Trippel - Missouri (Boulevard)
This could go on forever.

Doesn't matter. That two hearted ale was the nastiest shit ive ever had. Tasted and smelled like puke. Maybe my 6 pack was just bad?

Don't forget AleSmith. They're delicious.
But I do have to rep Portland, as our city has officially been christened "Beer Town" by our mayor. To name a few of the breweries in Portland: Widmer, Bridgeport, Hair of the Dog, McMenamins, Laurelwood, Portland Brewing Company (who run both Mactarnahans and Pyramid), Rock Bottom, Lucky Labrador, Raccoon Lodge, Alameda, Amnesia, and several smaller ones that I haven't tried, not to mention the presence of Rogue, Deschutes and Full Sail, all brewed in Oregon. We Portlanders love our beer.
and ballast point. but yes, i can agree with everything that has been stated in this quote pyramid.Originally posted by: Atomic Playboy
