Did you check under the couch?

I know it's a blatant mockery - but what the hell...

My wife is extremely particular about where the remote goes so I never have any trouble. Of course, it's rather funny to put the remote in the "wrong" location and see how it takes before she moves it. ;)

I've never lost my remote since my dad got one of those $200 Sony remotes. They're big as hell, so it's kinda hard to lose them.

It was right in the middle of the seat of your chair.

You know where to find it.

That's what you get for sitting on your furniture naked.

All my remotes disappear! The one for my stereo in my room its been missing for like 3 days now. The one for my Tv is AWOL! They need to build little pagers into them so one can find their remotes.

While it is too late for those of you who have lost, excuse me, misplaced your remote control devices, here is an idea, a project as it were, for the rest of you.

Take a piece of 1x8 (pine will do but oak has CLASS) lumber, cut it to about 12 to 15 inches in length and apply an appropriate length of "sticky back" velcro to the aforementioned board, perpendicular to its length, one strip for each remote you wish to keep up with. Peel off the other side of the velcro and attach to the underside of the remote control. Allow each velcro strip to "cure" (get really good and attached) to its respective home.

Your remote(s) now has (have) a home. It is inordinately difficult to lose a board of this size; properly stained, it makes a handsome addition to any coffee table. You can pick up the board, turn it upside down, shake it all about (indeed, one can do a veritable hokey pokey), and nary a remote shall be lost. Excuse me. Misplaced.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

I remain, etc., etc.

Evan - get off yo' lazy ass and go and flick channels <cue big gasp>manually!!!!</> You know, when Russ was a boy, they probably didn't even have televisions, let alone remotes.

You should count yourself lucky laddy:)

Why would the remote be under the bed. Unless of course, it was a remote for something other than a television. (i.e. a robotic sex doll, or similar)

Because he is on the computer in his bedroom, sheesh, do I need to explain everything? ;)

And as for the other remote control devices he may have, I don't even want to know, he is a strange boy and it may scare me. :Q :)
