Who else thinks that gore needs to enter the election. Not only does he seem like the best candidate but he's probably the only democrat capable of winning. He won it once, he can win it again.

thoughts?

He didn't win it once in spite of trying to steal it.

As for now...he is too busy trying to hunt down Manbearpig to run for President.

We have been over this 1,000,000,000 times

At best, Gore's legal team screwed him.

They should have allowed the results to be certified.

Contest the results.

Recount state.

Then we could have seen if he would have won or not.

I think you are right here?

But let?s not forget that the reason that Al Gore ran out of time and never got the statewide recount was because he tried to gain an unfair advantage by focusing on mainly Democratic counties at the start of the whole mess.

Had Gore came out on election day +1 and said ?let?s recount the whole state? he might have won.

On both sides, this year's Presidential beauty contests are starting very early and the field is crowded. And for the first time on a long time, one or the other or both political parties may arrive at their conventions without a leading candidate having enough primary votes to lock things up. And that deadlocked convention outcome becomes especially probable if some earthshaking event discrediting the existing leaders occurs in the middle of the primaries.

And in that event any dark horse candidate can win----and right now I can think of at least three fitting that billing----Gore, Thompson, and Chuck Hagel.---but by the time we do nominate the two main party nominees----08 may astound in those that are considered for nomination and those that self destruct.

Most qualified? Puh lease. Being a power hungry carpet bagging opportunistic bitch does not make you qualified to be President.

Lemon, it is HIGHLY unlikely we reach the convention without one person having a clear majority.
You would need a three way race to end with the vote being divided up amongst those three and that is unlikely to happen.

Furthermore, every election someone floats the idea of a deadlocked convention and every election we have a clear cut winner just a few weeks into the voting.

Its time to change. We don't want another white, rich, male, christian. We want to show the world that we aren't supremists. The best way is to elect a fair, balanced, smart moderate into presidency; Hillary Clinton.

Look at her credentials. She has lived in the south, midwest, and north. She is a lawyer, and was a partner at a law firm. She has been a senator for 6 years. He is the most qualified mainstream candidate to this date.

She ain't no moderate, and she's a man, baby!

Voting for Hillary is voting AGAINST change. She's as deep in bed with special interests as most of the other candidates, even if these interested parties are different from the parties manipulating Bush and Co.

If you want REAL, paradigm-shift change, vote for Ron Paul in 2008. I never thought I'd register as a Republican, and here I am doing it. Am I wasting a vote on a long-shot candidate? Hell no. The way I see it, voting for Hillary or Giuliani or <insert other career politician here> is the REAL waste of a vote, because you're voting for the government to screw you and your rights.

Hillary Clinton is a female. Her daughter is proof of that.

Wow. You're argument has won me over.

Of course I won't be voting in the election because based on your logic I will out of the country running for Chancellor of Germany since I spent some time there. Heck if the urge strikes me I may even claim the English throne or even the Papacy.

You can't be serious.

But let's say you are.....

Here is a brief run down of Thompson.

He has lived in the South, East, and West

He earned his law degree in 1967

He was appointed Assistant U.S. Attorney and served in that post from 1969 to 1972.

He has been involved in politics since the early 70's and was a key figure in bringing down a corrupt President.

Was instrumental in brining down a corrupt governor of Tennessee

Was a U.S. Senator from 1994 to 2003.

Sooooo......clearly if you want to go by your criteria Thompson is far more qualified than Hillary.

They are equally qualified. However, Thompson is more of the same old, same old. Hillary is a fresh face, the face of change.

So now you're falling back on your argument that she is more qualified because she, allegedly, has a vagina?

No, as I stated, they are equally qualified. However, we need to turn the page. America has never elected a non white, christian, male candidate. America needs to change. America needs Hillary.

America has never elected a retarded paraplegic with a lazy eye either. Although Bush is close. If one were running would that make him/her most qualified as an agent of change?

No...that is me pointing out how utterly ridiculous your argument is. I don't care if someone is black, blue, green or white and is a man, woman or transsexual. I want the best person available to hold that office.

You however don't seem to give a damn about who is the best person for the job...you just want someone who is from a different gender/religion/whatever just because we haven't elected a person from that gender/religion/whatever before.

I'm sorry...but that is a stupid stupid argument.

Sometimes you need change. When a basket ball team isn't doing well, you change the coach. When a corporation isn't posting good earnings, you change the board and ceo. When America's reputation as a fair and compassionate nation is cronied into junkbond status, we need a fresh face, the face of Hillary Clinton.
