Doing great. The tot will be 2 next month. We just got back from a week at the beach that she absolutely loved.

you've got to love the beach.

the little girl loves the sand and the water too. she's still really skinny though and short. she also started a very strong shyness phase. if we start talking to anyone she doesn't know very well she instantly clings to our legs. she's talking up a storm though.

it's amazing how fast they grow up.

Mine is anything but shy. It takes her two minutes to decide someone is okay, and then she's in their lap.

This will cease to be cute once she's a teenager, I'd imagine. :p

yeah, we were figuring at least we won't have to worry about the girl talking to strangers anytime soon.

So, this kid comes over to take your daughter out. You throw a large caliber, live round (.44 Express is very effective) to him. Being a teenage boy, he will catch it. Explain to him that if he makes her cry or upset, or she is not home on time, it will be going a lot faster the next time.

That's Isle of Palms, SC (just north of Charleston).

And yeah, she's a tank. She's just over 30lbs last I checked. :p

damn! though i guess that is around normal for 23 month olds.

the girl turned 2 in june and she is only about 20 lbs right now. the pediatrician referred us to a pediatric gastro doc and after a few visits he's determined she's just going to be small, which figures since her parents aren't big people :). he's not worried though, she is actually following a consistent growth curve. it's just that her curve isn't even on the charts.

it's not like she doesn't eat though. she eats as much as her 5 year old cousin. but she runs around constantly so i think her metabolism is at nuclear-reactor levels.

You basically get the phone and $5 for free once the rebate comes in (and the FW crew have been getting them). Works for me.

Funny thing is, I got the Prada coat cheaper as a movie prop once worn by Selma Blair than a Prada coat worn by Jane Doe. I think people didn't bother bidding thinking it would go ridiculously high.
