Where in the Bible . . .

If I'm not mistaken (no guarantee), it's a verse in Daniel that talks about meeting Jesus in clouds. Of course, us Catholics don't believe in a rapture.

god really has become an A-hole lately. or at least his followers are heading that way. you'd think god could afford better PR people.

You're know you're desperate to prostletyze your own views when you're googling your ass off to find the whackiest and most obscure websites of your ideological opponents to parade on ATPN.

From what I understand there was a preacher that founded a doctrine based on a loose interpretation of select phtases from the Bible - circa 1860's - 1880's.

He left Chicago after setting up a band of followers, and founded a second group of deciples in Saint Louis near the turn of the century.

He then moved and founded a third cell of followers in Dallas sometine between 1905 to 1912.
The funding that he was given in Texas by his true beleivers let him quickly expand his beleifs throught the Mid-West.

I may be off on the dates, they may be a few years earlier . . . or later than what I stated, this is from things I read about years ago, but that's the general idea.

I'll try to find something more detailed . . . any help . . anyone ?

C.I. Scofield is one possibility,
and his association with D.L. Moodymay have been a factor.

"Correcting grammatical errors."

To be more precise, you may even consider:

"In response to your inquiry, dear Preston, I do believe this thread was principally designed to highlight general grammatical errors through a process of deliberate baiting and the subsequent egregious correction!"

To which it would be most proper for me to respond with:

"Righty-o!"

When I joined Anandtech msg boards I was told that I should have a thick skin.
I can understand what people meant now.

I am a middle aged, Christian, Conservative, who doesn't use drugs and has never been in jail. heh, wonder how long I will last 🙂
