I am not even getting that with the 260.89 or 260.99 drivers. it has always worked fine until those 2 sets of drivers.

Just 2 days ago I was using that driver to try to set up my brother's computer to play games from his PC to his TV...
I noticed that when the drivers think there is a TV connected the scaling options are hidden, instead replaced with the options you are showing (which creates a custom resolution to compensate for overscan)
While switching the drivers got confused and decided his LCD monitor (DVI plug, identified as Samsung monitor) was a TV, and that his TV (component out, identified as "TV") is a monitor and will not let me switch that.. you can , had to mess around a bit before it properly identified which is a TV and which is a monitor and let me change them accordingly.
IIRC, I started out with the 258 drivers and they had the same issue. its not that nvidia removed it in the new driver, its that it somehow decided your monitor is a TV and is actively hiding it.
PS. it does show the monitor picture for your monitor though, rather then the TV picture... but sometimes it switches which options it gives you without switching the picture IIRC.
anyways, the whole thing ended up a disappointment because of horrible overscan that could only be fixed by using a custom lower resolution. (the TV had an option to zoom in further, but not to eliminate the zoom). He only wants to play using a wireless xbox controller... so we have to find games that support both custom resolution AND controller control AND that he wants to play... fable 1 for example actually supported that custom resolution, but not the controller.
