Microwave cart or kitchen cart. No need to have a night stand/dresser/chest in your kitchen, and they won't hold up as well to splattering food and grease.

Yes, bacon cooks quite well in an oven. Line a large pan with waxpaper, spread pieces of bacon out, put in oven, profit. In fact, back in high school when I worked in an institutional kitchen, they cooked all the bacon in an oven. The pieces came out nice and straight and done uniformly.
Really? Wouldn't it melt at oven temps?

We do bacon in the oven on an aluminum-foiled cookie sheet.

They probably meant parchment paper. See entry toward bottom of page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parchment_paper_(baking)

"Replacement for wax paper
Bakery paper can be used in most applications that call for wax paper as a non-stick surface. The reverse is not true, as using wax paper will cause smoke in the oven and affect taste."

A toaster oven but no microwave? I would want a microwave before a toaster oven. Don't you eat any instant noodles, TV dinners, or anything like that, even occasionally? I can't imagine not having a microwave. I guess you could cook that stuff in the toaster oven, but seems a microwave makes more sense to have. A toaster oven has some uses that are great as well, but a microwave seems more versatile if you are stuck between one or the other.

And that's your problem, over spending on something when a <$100 convection oven could do. Wasting money when you're a poor stupid college student.

It's highest rated toaster oven on CR. I got it because it was well reviewed and because I use it on a daily basis... It cooks food very fucking well compared to many other toaster ovens I've tried(They do bad). (<$100 range)

My toaster oven is essentially on par with an oven. Maybe even better than one I would likely get in this type of apartment. It's pretty good...

Sure, you spent a whole $250 on a toaster oven instead of getting a winter coat, table, and what else for all the same price.

Winter coat is only used for winter. I use this oven all year around. :p It was a necessity for my kitchen situation since I don't have an oven.

because craigslist is for other peoples used hand me down crap they dont want anymore, and instead of throwing it in the trash, they list it so some sucker like you will buy it instead.

if it's GOOD... it's not gonna be on craigslist. it's gonna be in THEIR apartment.

Not completely true. Sometimes people move and have to sell stuff. I basically look for those opportunities.
