Some of my comps can read on others but can't write, some can. How do i make it so that all can?

From Explorer, right click on the drive you want to allow Read/Write access to. You should see a SHARE tab. Select this and check the options you want.

Good Luck

This depends on what OS you are using... if you are using NT/2k, you can create different profiles for different PCs on your network and give them each different permissions...

However you cannot do this with win9x... only 1 security level for all...

This statement is somewhat untrue.

If you are on a Windows domain, you can change your file sharing from Share Level to User-Level Access Control. (Just right click on Network Neighborhood, Properties and go to Access Control) Once you have done this, you can specify specific rights for each specific user on each specific share.

Try it out. It works.

I believe it is the same. I am running Windows ME on one of my game station @ home, and I enabled share level permissions on it. To clarify, I believe that the way you enabled share level permissions is the same on Win98 as it is on WinME.
