Do either of you have sales figures or are you just stating your unsubstantiated opinions? I would think you would have actual sales numbers to honestly make such claims.

Thread is not about comparing the 590 to the 6990. Thread-derail is not acceptable. Perpetuating a thread-derail is also not acceptable.

Where did I compare the GTX 590 and the 6990? I asked for the GTX 590 sales figures that would support Keysplayr's statement. That's pertinent to this thread; however, calling in mods to dig you out of your mess isn't.

Mod challenges are to be conducted in the Moderator Discussions sub-forum please. As it stands, pursuing the conversation within this thread is itself a thread-derail.

Do we have any official numbers - or hints - from NV about actual availability?
What does other sources say?

What do we consider good availabitlity for a card?
How many cards do we think NV or AMD have to produce in its lifetime, for us to consider it a "real" card?

In the UK they are both in stock but both seem to be fluctuating in and out of stock pretty quick. The 590 is $50-$100 more and there seem to be fewer models on offer-maybe they had a fire sale.

Doing a very quick and dirty survey, In DK there is a lot of 6990 in stock (roughly a third of the 6970 at launch), they tend to be just marginally more expensive than 590, witch might coincidence with that there seems to be no 590 in stock, but they expect stock in the first part of may. In general the prices compared to rest of europe, not to say US, is just crazy. So if you happen to have some expensive gear to sell, this might be the right country :)
