I go to my school library all the time. Its much bigger and better than the local public library.

But I haven't been to a public library since. . . high school? Why would I?

Local branch is 1 mile from my apartment so during the spring, summer, and fall I walk down and back every day. During the winter I'll stop in once or twice per week. Madison's public library system is pretty awesome. Though sometimes I get skeptical looks when I return a dozen DVDs after one day. /shiftyeyes

I would go to my local library almost every day when I was studying in the US. They had wifi. I would bring my netbook and use their wifi. Strange things would happen.

Past decade. Think it was 6 years ago. During my first year of college, I went to the public library because I didn't know about the computer labs, multiple campus libraries, etc.

For research, it's all internet now. I may grab a book if I'm desperate or have it already, but as long as it's not wikipedia, no one should complain about the integrity of the material.

My library (the one nearest to my parents house in the US) has free wifi and free video game rentals...

But I bought all my games from Amazon, I wish I had known about their video game service earlier... I could have saved some cash on the single player story games.

Unless you have a nice central library, they tend to be made for children, day care, and that is just crap.

I tried to get a library card last year but they wouldn't give me one because the address is not correct on my drivers license.
