When you write down a phone number, do you space out the numbers with a - or a dot?

couldnt tell you the last time that happened. generally my phone calls are to my work office or co workers, and those are contacts, or to customers...and those numbers are contacts. what happens more often than not is a customer or the office doesnt pick up, and i say call me, and leave my number if someone may not have it already.

i hate HATE paper, so ive pretty much gotten used to never using it. everything goes in my phone.

hit speaker > home > gtasks > type away.

its 2012, paper can bite me.

I type the service telephone number as 1234567891 because it's much easier to copy/paste into tools that way.

Otherwise always 123-456-7891, no reason to do it any other way.

Neither. Why would I waste my time while making the number less readable? +385 11 22 333 4444 is much better than +385-11.22%333@4444 or other such nonsense. On a computer I may go without spaces, +38511223334444, to make the number behave better with number recognition or copy-paste. I will never read and manually copy the number again, just have my phone dial it, so whether the spacing is there doesn't matter much at that point.

the parenticies were taken out to save money on ink, then periods save even more money on ink. think of the gallons and gallons a phone book printing company will save with these tiny changes.

<--Bastard that still thinks we have 7 digit phone numbers when in reality we have moved to a 10 digit number. The area code is no longer a prefix or appendage but rather an integral part of the number. I will learn someday.
