do you feel refreshed and ready to go or do you still feel dead tired and groggy?

i always feel dead tired and groggy. i usually still feel tired several hours after waking up.
i'm thinking this shouldn't be happening.

Nah, even with like 8 hours of sleep it takes me at least an hour or so for my engines to get going...

Dead tired and groggy, but I think that's to do with our 6 week old son at the moment :D

Before he was born I would wake up fully rested and wide awake

Well, how much sleep are you getting? I get between 6 and 8 hours of sleep. I'm always tired, if someone else drives to work that day, I sleep all the way there, or at least have my eyes closed. Once I get to work I try my best to wake up. If I get eight hours, sometimes I'll feel great in the morning, sometimes I won't.

Sleep 6 hours or so and feel ok at best. Sleep 5 and I want to die, and sleep 8 or more and I want to die.

Interesting answers.

I am in bed and getting about 7 hours of sleep a night. I wake up at the same time and I am usually awake about 5-10 minutes before the alarm goes off. I guess my body knows what time it is or something. :)

I am pretty much ready to tackle the day. The only time I am groggy or tired through the day is when I get less than 6 hours of sleep in a night.

Dead tired and groggy. It takes me at least an hour to get going in the mornings. 5 to 6 hours here. Usually hit the sack around 1 - 1:30 am. The alarm is set for 6:30am.

You should try and get about 9 hours of sleep.. or 6 hours.. I think it has to do with the sleep cycle being in three hour periods..

At school when I get a solid 8-9 hours I feel crisp. Otherwise I want to kill myself in the morning.

need...more...sleep.

I've been so exhausted since my nieces came to visit. Running around the house after a 1 year old is a LOT of work. I wake up every morning later than normal and I'm dead tired all day. I try to make sure I'm in bed by 1:30 latest and I usually wake up at 6;30-7. But this whole week I've been BARELY waking up at 7:15-7:20...so bad! I've been late to work twice this week b/c I oversleep. lol.

It takes me about 30 mins to get up, then I'm good for the day. I don't start feeling tired in the mornings unless I get less than 6 hours of sleep several days in a row.

For most people. Its very true for me. I actually feel better if I sleep for 3 hours then 4 or 5.

I have noticed this as well. Sometimes no matter how much sleep I get, if I wake up at the "wrong" time I'm groggy for a very long time. I guess the best way is to wake up naturally which I can only realistically do on weekends.

Dead tired. Two little kids waking you up an hour before you have to get up every morning will do that to you.

Dead tired. I (usually) need to get 9+ hours of sleep in order to feel decent... and there's no way I get that much sleep. Ever.
