Same here, pretty much...

well, an overwhelming majority of people feel the same way i do so at least i'm not alone on this. whether its "normal" or good for you has yet to be determined, i guess.

tired and groggy, i get approx. 6hrs of sleep. It takes me about 2hrs and 5 cups of coffee to get me feeling alert.

Getting a new bed doesn't help either. I just got a doctors choice. It feels so much nicer, and my back doesn't hurt now, but I don't wake up all perky.

I hate getting up with a passion, but anything over about 10 hours of sleep makes me groggy. I still do it though. About 7-8 hours is good.

I am not a morning person..... No matter how much sleep I get I'm always tired and groggy when I wake up (I sleep like a rock too. I've slept through our house alarm before.)

:music:.... and I raise my weary head,
I've got an old coat for a pillow
And the earth was last night's bed.....:music:

I don't know why you're title reminded me of that song:D

Nine hours makes me perfectly rested. I only get that on weekends, though.
During the week I'm groggy and petulant for a good hour or more (on seven hours of sleep). The coffee usually helps out, though.

I feel great and I'm ready to tackle the day. Of course, I go to the gym everymoring at 6:00am to work out, so I think my body got used to it and I'm ready to go in the mornings. I feel great as long as I get at least 6 hours of sleep.

I HATE people who wake up bright eyed and ready to go.

Fortunately, I'm too groggy to actually kill them. By the time I'm awake enough to kill, my sanity has usually kicked in.

One of my kids is an early morning person. Grrrrrrrr.

I usually feel pretty good when I get up, good enough to get right up and into the shower anyway. After that I'm good to go. Once I get to work I'll have some coffee but that doesn't seem to make that much difference. 6 - 7 hours of sleep typically.

This is much better now that I've quit smoking. Back when I smoked I was dead tired when I got up... had to drag my ass outside to have a cig first thing. Glad that's a thing of the past. :)
