I don't think anyone is really rejecting you when they don't say hello, at least not usually. Often times, they just don't hear me. And then I'm standing there like a dumbass.

Also, I'm not good at remembering names. And "Hello! ...You!" doesn't sound right when I say it outloud.

lol, I thought you were talking about on a phone. We just don't even pick up our home phone anymore because we get so many crap calls. Surprisingly, few are actually telemarketers, but tones come from places wanting money or random services we've used in the past.
