I have aftermarket heads on my car that have much smaller combustion chambers than stock, thus raising the compression. 93 is required now...
I have a modded Mustang BTW...
Generally, you are correct. If the car doesn't need it, it's a waste.

yes that is the oil prices going up. BUT if you charge the same amount to refine the oil then the price should go up on a flat scale, it does not. The price of gas has gone up faster then the price of oil. Hence the oil companies are making more money per gallon now. see greater profits on same sales per gallon.
