when you join a squad in BF2

and your squad leader's voice sounds about as old as your newest pair of jeans. Doesn't that just kinda make your heart sink and ruin it for you?

I cant remember the last time i played on a VOIP enabled server where anyone actually used voice... Anyone know of any servers that consistantly use it?

Nah, teamwork is teamwork.
I've run across some 13-16 year olds that have more tactical wit and maturity about them than people twice their age. But yeah I get what you are saying, that's generally not the case.

I hate it when gamers stereotype people my age (13). I guess I am an oddity though, as most other people my age act very immature.

never tried the built in voip, I've heard it doesn't always work?

I use skype conference call with a couple of buddies... it makes the game much more enjoyable.

I don't know about always since I only play on one server but it's worked for me. I prefer using the ingame voip over external solutions because the ingame voip lowers game sounds when someone is talking. It really helps when you're riding in a noisy vehicle and you need to hear your squad leader.

Hey, didn't know that. sounds like a good feature cuz in the heat of battle with canon's and guns blazing away we sometimes cannot hear each on Skype.

Whats the default key for speaking to your squad only?

Well, whenever I hear a guy whose balls haven't even dropped yet issueing orders, I leave the squad or join the other side.

Some younger folks I have see play better than some older people. As long as they are trying to play rather than being a TKing/punishing idiot they are A-OK in my book.

Who cares what they sound like? Switch squads if you don't like their decisions. I tell you what, a good squad leader is like gold. Good luck on a public server.

Hah, I was talkin to my squad the other day. It was maybe the first thing I said to them, and my voice cracked. I'm nearly 30 BTW.

lately i can't hear anyone on my squad but people say they can hear me..i thought it was first teh server but the last 10 servers i've played on, same prob..any suggestions?

Hey that's an awesome feature! I wish we had known that this past weekend cause we had a big LAN (120+ people) with a BF2 tournament. We used teamspeak but I would have to jump out of my tank to hear someone say something and then jump back in again.

lol, I can relate.

I primarily use TS with a few buddies whenever I play online. We don't have to be in the game to be able to talk to eachother, so it works better that way.

Agreed, Waylay was in our clan for awhile and he was a decent guy.
