I have a custom built PC, which means I have better stuff than a Mac. You can't get better than what I have, and that's that. A Mac is a stupid users computer, and you have one. That fact proves you're stupid user. Everyone knows this.

Custom PCs are a thing of the past. Those who build them put a lot of time, effort, and money into something that is ultimately inferior to the quality and performance of Apple products. Psychologically speaking, you have convinced yourself that you have built something superior, and thus you are superior. That is your failure. You are blinded by your own foolishness and cannot see the truth. I feel for you, Numenorean. I feel for you.

It's no my problem you are too poor to own a Mac. Sorry, but that's the way the world works, son. You want better stuff, you have to pay for it. Everyone knows this.

Actually, I have better stuff than a Mac, but I paid less for it. You did not, because you're an idiot and you paid Apple the idiot tax for the right to own a Mac and show off just how much of an idiot you are. I could buy 10 Macs if I wanted to. It has nothing to do with how much money I have. Everyone knows this.

If you don't have a Mac, then you don't have better stuff than a Mac. It's simple really, the Mac is the best and you don't have one. The fact that you can afford 10 Macs, and yet you have none proves that you are a fool. Everyone knows this.

This thread delivers!!!

Oh and I use a cheap PC because it does the exact same stuff as a Mac while costing less than half as much. Everyone knows this.

I used to use Notepad++ a ton when I was in school.

Now I only use Notepad at work when I know I'm going to have to copy/paste something into this terrible app that won't paste word text correctly.

You know what you are? You are a speck of an existence. Too inferior and small to be noticed by anything or anyone. You live a sad existence, bringing forth an online persona of arrogance and superiority in order to make yourself feel better about the miserable excuse for a human being you really are. You attempt to make yourself appear to have even a modicum of intelligence to make up for the vacuous expanse between your ears. Your insignificance is so ineffable that it lords itself over you, a constant reminder of how worthless your life really is. Your fatuous comments grow tiring, ever an indication of your lack of original thought.

Everyone knows this.

I currently have 3 instances of notepad running.
Typically, I will have anywhere from 2 to 5 or 6 instances running at any given time when at work. Handy for keeping track of things, seperate instance for seperate things.

this man is correct. I have an apple 2e that runs apple works which is pretty much the same as ms office except it has the extra polish that accompanies an apple product.

I post stuff to our library's facebook page and often copy and paste from other material. For some reason, facebook will often fuck up the formatting. I use notepad to get rid of whatever formatting is doing that.

I have it open now.

I use it to jot down notes when I'm sharing a screen with a client. There's something that just feels practical about spending zilch time on formatting when I'm simply making a short issues or action items list. Also, my (very non-technical) clients rarely use any text editor medium other than Word or email, and somehow a super basic text editor seems to make them think I'm more techie and competent and professional than they otherwise regard me.

It's stupid but it works for me. I'll take any edge I can get. :)

I will occasionally have chunks of XML sitting in an editor on screen and my clients are VERY impressed that I can "program" so take my assessment of their perception in context...

I like ClipCache Pro .. it can capture and hold many more clips than just one.
You can also type in it to create your own clip. They can be highlighted for easy locating.

today at work. i use it to record the fatigue-pre crack lengths of my compact tension specimens. i don't need them to be super precise, i just need to know how close the front and back faces are too each other (generally you want them to be within 0.015" of one another for KIC testing)

At my last job I used it every day. Now I use TextEdit and BBEdit because my primary work machines are Macs.
