when was the last time you listened to a full album?

I can always listen to Bloc Party-Silent Alarm front to back as well as both Airborne Toxic Event albums; they are amazing front to back as well...
 
I've had my CD collection ripped as lossless FLAC for years now, and listen to full CDs from my music server while I work.

I also have the collection in my HTPC, and listened to Chris Whitley's Living With The Law over a long lunch yesterday (extra vacation day for the 4th weekend).

Much of my music that is in an album is named wierd...like say all the songs from Korn will vary in name like "06_Korn_-_Lead_The_Parade_(Korn_III-_Remember_Who_You_Are)"
while another says " 04_Fear_Is_A_Place_To_Live_Korn-Korn_3-_Remember_Who_You_Are"

i'd rather it just read on my LCD as "03-Fear is a place to live" ...cause its all in the same album folder anyway, so its not like i need to keep seeing who sings it and what album it is with 50 dashes and underscores in it.

Then there is my music where i have 1 or 2 songs from each album, that makes things even worse, especially on my ipad cause its splits them up into albums individually and its not as easy to listen to them all at once without making a playlist

plus all the ones that have no artwork, so i see a blank box...ugh

MediaMonkey should do all of that for you.

I started using it as a burner because it seems to get much better cd info than WMP or iTunes which saves a ton of time. I've only had to manually edit the tags of the files I've burned a couple times (and I'm about 80% done with burning ~400 cds)
 
Bad Religion's "The Dissent of Man" probably just after Christmas. Since then, maybe Less Than Jake's "Borders & Boundaries".

I tend to leave everything on shuffle...
 
probably the "newest" CD I purchased (not counting classic reloads) was Snoop Dogg-Tha Doggfather

That was the last CD new release I ever bought.

No wait, I but St. Anger when it came out too, two epic strikeouts


Everything else has been ITUNES purchases
 
I listen to a lot of progressive metal, where concept albums, or at least a shared theme among the songs, are the norm, and still buy physical CDs, so I usually listen to the whole album. I just bought Devin Townsend's Deconstruction, which is a concept album, along with Alestorm's Back Through Time, which isn't, but I have been listening to those, interspersed with Trampled by Turtles' Palomino (what?? bluegrass and progressive metal totally go together). Once I've listened to a CD enough time to have the songs memorized I will rip them to my ipod, but by then I've usually bought some more CDs and will listen to them!
 
lol. Listening to individual songs/singles at a time is for posers. Everyone knows this.

<-- Listening to Annihilator's Set the World Afire right now. The only time I skip around is when I'm listening to video game soundtracks which aren't in a specific order, but if I'm listening to an OST I always go all the way through.
 
Few days ago. Working on computer, just put on "Speak Now" (you'll know it when you see it😉).
 
Almost daily...at least through the week. That's what I love about Rhapsody. You get to download unlimited whole albums for a $15 a month rental fee. Lately I've been cranking Mastermind by Monster Magnet. One of the best rock albums I've heard released in a long time.
 
I'm old. I grew up in the days of album rock. When you bought an LP you transferred it to 8 Track and listened to it as a whole album in the car. I still do that today over 30 years later. I do not buy tracks but whole albums and other than the quick listen to a random track that pops into my head while I am sitting at the computer when I am actually listening to music it is by albums.
 
Not sure. I only have albums ripped, but it's almost always on shuffle. I like the surprise factor doing it that way. There's no telling what'll come up. In the car, I use cherry picked individual tracks on a data cd, or my Sansa, still on shuffle though.

LOL, I had an 8-track recorder too, nothing like it changing tracks in the middle of the song!. I also had a pair of these, http://www.flickr.com/photos/phaota/4983504317/"Mind blower" amplified 6X9 speakers, actually sounded pretty good!..
 
I usually listen to whole albums. I tried the iPod's shuffle function and it sucks. It isn't random and you get over-representation of some albums and also there is no "shuffle within genre" feature.

I guess I'm a traditional music listener. I don't like shuffle/playlists. Whenever I listen to music it's always the whole album. At least that's the plan, sometimes I only get to song number 4 because of time constraints but whenever I'm in the mood for this album again I'll pick it up and continue where I left off.
