when was the last time you listened to a full album?

A couple months ago. I got a CD (first time in a while) and put it in my car and listened to the whole thing from start to finish. Although it did take more than one trip to hear the whole thing. Then I went back to listening to NPR and random stuff on Pandora once it was over.

CDs are a pretty bad value proposition for me. $10-$20 gets me an hour or two of entertainment and then I have to go back to other stuff because I don't want to hear the same songs over and over again.

well u might as well use the pirate bay if u go there.

pff.. its Russia and who says i'm in the US?

the services are perfectly legal in Russia. The legislature there enforces compulsory licenses, which means that anyone can get the license to distribute and sell the music as long as they pay for it. In the United States if you plan to sell a certain CD, you have to negotiate with the labels, and that’s why the original Napster got shut down by the courts – they violated the law by not obtaining the licenses from the RIAA mob.

Il isten to old albums all the time, but for recent stuff I've listened to the new Strokes album several times over; I think it's pretty great. The new My Morning Jacket is great too and I've listened to that many times from beginning to end.

Those are the most recent ones I can think of. :hmm:

Yesterday, "Maitri" (Souls of Diotima)

This one is pretty good as well. Great musicanship and a excellent singer (Claudia Barsi) mmmmm.

The other night, Ozzy Osbourne -Diary of a Madman.
Had not listened to the whole album in decades.

Full albums are the best; there are some albums that require you to play it in full otherwise I feel empty listening to one song at a time.

Last album in full? Probably Lateralus by Tool

Last weekend, on vinyl, Montrose's - Montrose

Someone online asked what to listen to after they smoked a joint. Wouldn't you know the youtube just didn't do it justice.

i listened to 2 today

on the way to work i listened to Sabaton - The Art of War

on the way home i listened to Savage Circus - Of Doom and Death

Yeah, Tool, NIN, and Mars Volta do that a lot. Neko Case's Middle Cyclone is like that as well. Makes the whole thing seem more polished and interesting, although some albums will have a song I skip.

I only have a CD player in my car, and have about 8 albums in there from Soundgarden to Nico, but I mainly have short trips in my car so it sometimes takes a while to get through an entire album. The last full album I listened to on my computer was Little People - Micky Mouse Operation, 3 days ago.

I listen to albums in my truck (CD player) all the time. The last one was a disc from Bob Marley - Songs of Freedom box set.

I use iTunes Match with my full CD collection. After I subscribed to iTunes Match, I quadrupled the size of my collection by going to thrift stores like Goodwill and buying full albums to rip/match. I listen to full albums occasionally.
